Hi! The sound imitates the noise that the ZX Spectrum computer used to make while loading. Now that you mention it, indeed, it sounds like a modem as well, hehe. We’ll turn it down a bit. Thank you very much for playing and your comments :-)

Pit of Despair is a tribute to those old school games where you need to think and calculate carefully before you move. Our purpose was to create a similar experience adding some roguelite elements to make it more accessible for new players. We have just released the latest demo containing some new mechanics, lots of improvements and a ton of bug fixes.

¡Gracias nuevamente!

Hi! Thank you very much for the nice words, we are really happy you like it!

Hi! Thank you for your nice words, I am glad you like it :-)

Gracias por el comentario, me alegro un montón de que te haya gustado.

Wonderful game. Neither too long nor too short, not very difficult and very colourful. I love it. Thanks and congratulations!

Hi, all the music was made by Drozerix, he kindly offers it under a public domain license. If you are interested you can check his profile and find other interesting tunes at https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=84702

;-)

Very funny game! The only bad thing is that it’s too short although I suppose that’s normal considering it’s an entry for a Ludum Dare, the mechanics of the game are great. Well done!

Nice graphics and music and responsive controls. The difficulty is the usual you can find on 8 bit games (impossible to me, haha). Overall, a really good work, congratulations!

Hi all! I have just released my first Godot game: Solstice, a Mikro-Gen’s Equinox remake. This is an action game although it features some adventure parts.

In Solstice you need to control a droid with the mission to stabilize a nuclear complex under the attack of some unknown entities. The droid can fly, shoot, use a plasma shield and pick objects to grant access to other areas or activate some objects.

There are 8 areas and each area has a time limit.

I’ve focused on giving the game a much more arcade feeling than the original game had, including new weapons, new enemies and new mechanics although I’ve done my best to keep the same essence.

I am pretty happy with the final result and I sincerely hope you like it too.
