A true work of love. It is crawling with bugs though, personally I wouldn't make people pay before I fixed them all, even at such low price.

I played it in the Dread X Collection, and I was so impressed that I was really hoping for a standalone release! I re-bought it here and I'm happy I did, it has been fantastic as the first time. One of the most stilish and original horror games ever, also one of the creepiest, highly recommended to everyone!
I managed to solve the shrines puzzle indeed! But for the mailboxes I really have no clues. I noticed one has a dreamcatcher on it, and there's indeed a dreamcatcher in one of the save rooms, the one in the wagon, but I can't interact with it in any way. On another mailbox there's a lantern, but it's full of lanterns everywhere. As for the bell, I think I didn't see any around. I am definitely stuck on that...
Ah, I see! Thank you, this is indeed the kind of hint I needed. One more question though: I opened a door using a wrench, in the "invisible" house between the crucifixes, but inside that room I found nothing. This is too strange to me, there MUST be something. Did I miss something right under my nose?
Thank you very much for the update, I was finally able to finish this beautiful game! It was hard nonetheless, but much more doable than before thanks to all the additional resources. Thank you for listening to my feedback, you are amazing! I hope these changes did not ruin your original vision for your game.
Nothing to be done! Even at full health, even with enough ammo I can't even get past the first rooms of the lab part. My biggest problem are the mutants with scythes. They are enormously faster than me, and they deplete 1/3 of my HP with a single swipe. The corridors are too narrow to dodge them. Even with enough ammo, by the time I shoot one of them the others have already surrounded and stunlocked me to death. I'll try another day to see if I'm luckier!
Thanks for listening to my feedback, I appreciate. I managed to kill him in the end, by employing the fountain as "shield". But now unfortunately I find myself softlocked. I am in the lab, and I'm out of both ammo and healing items. The corridors are too narrow to try the rush option, I believe I'm stuck forever. Are there any stashes around? So that I can get back on track.
Ok, I get it, but the problem is that its gas attack has such a large hitbox that I can't bait it out. Let me explain what I mean. The only way to dodge that attack is to flee FAR away, but then you have not enough time to get back and shoot. Furthermore, there is a very high probability to get hit even if you flee, because the gas expands faster than you can run. Moreover, the little snakes can stunlock you into position, and then you will get hit twice by the same gas cloud (almost always instadeath). I honestly don't see a solution, I am completely stuck.
Thank you for your kind reply!
I have a curiosity that is eating me alive, may I ask you what is the "true" nature of the hitchhiker? From my understanding, it is a sort of entity that feeds on the souls of suffering people, much like a Lovecraftian entity that can disguise in a human form. My theory is that the VHS shop owner, through his deranged actions, "summoned" the being, who escaped his dimension through the VHS medium and possessed the human, who then left his work (and his identity card) and trapped the whole town in the endless prison, thus blackmailing the inhabitants to obtain new souls through the ritual killings immortalized by the tapes. Am I just overthinking it?
