Congrats! It was my first too and proud of what I submitted. Now thinking about all stuff that i could have added, but did not in fear of the time.

Thanks for the comment! Having the small set of colors actually really helped stablish the distinction between game elements. Also I can only code and would be unable to do a color study, but maybe that should be a skill to add to my training.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I am not focused on visuals and haven´t made the character facing all directions. That would indicate it clearly.

Just published the change to WASD because down and up were scrolling. The spacebar doing that is new to me.

No engine, but a javascript library called p5.js.
