Hi Zimu!

I'm sorry you felt that your project is being rushed but judging from the demo you presented today, it looked great! but I'm glad that you are getting interviews and stuff for your internships! I wish you the best of luck!

Hi Mitch!

It was awesome working with you on a project for the first time! I believe we did an amazing job! and thank you for giving me tips on how to do pixel art! It was a really good feeling seeing my artwork being used in the game :)

Hi Ethan!

I'm sorry that you had one programmer working on your project but I really want to see the build that you have so far! If anything, you can work more on it on your spare time over the summer!

Hi Zimu!

Glad that you shifted away from using free assets and using your own art! I can't wait to see it! Hopefully, you and your team can balance the puzzle issue that you are facing in time before the showcase.

Hey Jack!

Again, I'm sorry to hear about your family and like I said, we are all here for you if needed, but I agree with you on that the project is back on track! We will be ready to showcase our game in the upcoming weeks :)

Hi Brandon!

Glad to hear your project is going well! and sorry to hear that your section of the level is going slower but hey just keep at it and eventually it will be made! I can't wait to see it at the showcase in the upcoming weeks :)

Hey Ty!

Sorry to hear that it's been rocky on your end of the project, but I'm happy that you made some time with your group and the project! I might have to do what you said in your last point about using reading/design week to work on small things on the project. This gives me time to learn how to do animations on our project.

Hey Rui!

It seems like you had a busy few weeks with designing the many systems that you listed, I'm really curious about how these systems work in your project, especially the inspection system. Also, I noticed you uploaded a video on slate so I'll be checking it out!

Hey Jack!

I have to agree with your first point, It was actually a good feeling seeing my enemy sprites being used in the game! As someone who hasn't done art before, it gave me more motivation to keep doing it. I can't wait to see what kind of stuff you have been working on and hope to see it implemented in the game soon! :)

Hi Mitch!

After the meetings that we had with the team, I think we can safely say that we are on the right track for the project! I believe this project will be good! no need to be worried! :)

Hi Ethan!

Frequent team meetings are great! I actually prefer to meet in person as I feel there are fewer distractions and you're more focused on the work compared to online meetings. Lastly, that's a good idea to go through the GDD once more. I'll have to bring that up with my team when I get a chance!

Hi Lucy!

That's awesome that you were able to get a head start on the basic implementation of your project! I remember that you were discussing what you had done with the project in the last class. I can't wait to see how it turns out in the end! It seems very exciting!

Hey Rui!

It looks like you are ready to start developing your project! That's awesome! I wish you a nice and smooth development for next semester and can't wait to see your end product when it's done! :)

Hiya Lucy!

I can relate to the procrastinating bit that you wrote. I was really bad at it last year and was rushing everything which resulted in me not putting effort into whatever I was working on. It seems like we do the opposite of tackling assignments where I work on the bigger assignments first before working on the smaller ones but I'm glad that you were able to improve your work-life balance!

Hi Ethan!

That's awesome that you have a task sidebar on your phone. I tried using something like that before and for me, I felt like it was hard to use. I either get distracted by my phone and do something else. I guess I just find my phone to be really distracting. I opted into using a planner and so far it has been helping me a lot!

Hi Lucy!

I remember your pitch and thought it was very interesting! I have to agree with Ben as well, it's neat that you pitched your idea with a small scope and hope to expand on it in the future with your team. As I said with the other dev logs that I commented on, maybe work on this in your free time! Could be a nice piece to add to your portfolio!

Hey Ben!

I had the same problem as you, I originally had prepared for a 5-minute pitch but had to speedrun it, but I enjoyed your idea! I'm happy that you and your group settled on an idea that you all would like to work on. As for your idea, I would maybe suggest working on it as a small project or something in your free time! Could be a good piece for your portfolio! :)

Honestly, I really did enjoy the idea that you pitched. As we almost had the same research topic. I felt like yours would have been educational and would have loved to see it in action! but I agree with what you mentioned about what "investors" would be looking for before giving the green light.

Hey Mitch!

I really like the research topic you chose, I did hear about that professor who almost let chatGPT loose on the internet a while back and always wondered what would happen if it did escape. The fact you are basing your idea around that would be awesome to hear about!

Hi!

The topic you chose was really fascinating to read about and I really do appreciate that you have a concern for individuals who are victims of abusers. I can't wait to hear what kind of idea you pitch to the class!

Hey Josh! (or Berger, not sure what you would like to be called)

I found your devlog to be really interesting on what you researched and how you mentioned your personal life with the research. Although it upsets me that you feel disconnected from your heritage but I hope that will change eventually! Lastly, you mentioned that you were bouncing around ideas related to the pitch, I would love to hear the ideas that you had!
