Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it ^^

Thank you for playing!

This is amazing. I have no words.

Fantastic story! I was dreading every moment up to the ending. Very well done!

The movement feels so great here!

Very fun little game! The movement feels very good.

There are some machines with a green symbol scattered across the levels. You can activate them if you’re carrying a medkit.

Thanks for playing!

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere! The hints of backstory here are so interesting. I’d love to know what exactly happened to the world. The drawings in the wall are so intriguing! Loved the dream sequences, too.

Yeah this is the good stuff.

This looks very cool! Wish it was a real game haha

Oh I loved Rental! I’m excited to see what you make in the future as Lonely House

Hi! I’m glad you liked the game so much!

The protagonist’s name is Helena. I don’t remember if it’s ever stated in game if I’m honest!

I’d be honoured if you cosplayed her ^^

Thank you for playing! ^^

Hi! First of all, I want to say thank you for making this game. The concept is fantastic and the Y2K vibes are excellent. Here’s some feedback from playing the demo for a short while:

  • The asthetic is perfectly executed. Navigating the desktop and the various web pages is so cool. It feels like there is such a deep world to explore just in this part of the game!
  • In the actual rogue-like part of the game, I think the idea of using yuor phone as your inventory is very unique. However, my mousewheel didn’t work very well for selecting an option, and using the keyboard numbers feels kinda cumbersome.
  • I find the map layout very disorienting. Every street and parking lot looks the same and I felt that I lost my way very easily. The extremely short view distance didn’t help.
  • The quests are very nicely integrated! I like the idea of switching between game runs and desktop browsing to solve missions. However, if the map generation was better, I’m sure things like finding the three posters would be much more fun. Right now it feels very random.

I see this demo as a strong foundation for a cool game! It just needs a fair amount of polishing and iteration on the map layout and enemy variety. I’ll definitely keep an eye on it as it progresses!

Good luck with development!

Cute game! The music is fantastic!

Fun game! The simple graphics actually help a lot with the atmosphere. The house feels really claustrophobic.

So unique and well done! I love how the story is introduced. Such a short playtime, but it stills leaves just enough time for the horror to develop.

Happy birthday Dave!! Thank you for the work you do for itch.io and this community!

This was incredible, really

RIP Eggy the Frog. You will be missed

Beautiful! I wish we could explore more of this little world. But that’s the thing, isn’t it? It’s over now, and all that remains are the memories :’)

Thank you for making this game!

Bautiful and haunting. I love you, Waste Eater.

This was lovely! I love the idea of a submarine metroidvania. It feels so polished! I expected something to go wrong at the end, but everything was just so nice. I love these little guys :)

This had me on the edge of my seat! Very nice use of the lo-fi graphics to create a tense atmosphere. At first I felt the mouse sensitivity was too low, even in the highest setting, but I grew accustomed to it and I think it added to the experience, in fact haha

I love how you made the horror meter into a very visual thing, with the image getting more and more distorted as the character gets scared. At the end, when there is no light and all bets are off, it works very well!

chilling indeed!

I love everything about this. There’s a mismatch of elements here that makes it all the more cryptic: The surreal intro about dreams. The fleshy face (mask?). The same place, seen through three perspectives at once! And what’s up with the floating demon head?? I also really like how you’ve incorporated the DS with the stylus. Very good work! ^^

I like your models! The maid is very cute. Also the way those cultists die is very funny xD

Cute (and unnerving!) game! We need more games that lean on this cute-creepy aesthetic. And I loved that Magical Doremi reference at the end hehe

I just found one bug: I got stuck here after “jumping” over the couch.

I loved the sense of urgency in boarding up the windows as the storm starts breaking the house apart. It doesn’t make sense to do it, but this man is obviously out of his mind. The final reveal is a nice touch too, but even without it the sense of dread in this game is fantastic!

wow very creative use of the lighting here!

Very cool little game! The concept of spending a seemingly infinite amount of time performing the smae chore over and over scares me to no end. Very well done!

These are great! Just what I was looking for. I like that there’s a version with a single sound, perfect to drop into my dialogue system.

I have no idea what this is, but I love it. It’s like some sort of alien instrument. And it actually sounds good!

This was so much fun! I love the idea of the probes having a nice little interstellar community.
