great stuff. god i LOVE the art on this. the character designs are wonderful. the sprite of noemi looking over her shoulder makes me want to act up. i love the graphic of tomila being held back by the shadow of ???. truly a "you can never truly go back home" anthem. the epilogue was so soothing.

take all the time you need! mdb 1 is a fantastic sketch and you should feel no undue pressure to make more, but i really think you should make more anything else! your writing is great!! thank you for sharing this much!
MAN THIS ONE IS ROUGH and i mean that very positively! really good shit. i love diana's cartoon meat on bone shirt. i like the font a lot. the writing of the casual dialogue and diana's internal monologuing is really well done, and it hurts in all the places it should. diana's possessive paranoia is painful, and as relatable as it is something you want to scream at the screen over. the constant metaphor of the kaiju as the self is so strong and heartbreaking.
cheering you on for further acts! i hope they can talk it out sometime soon.
i REALLY dig the art on this. it's so unique and expressive! all the dithering on the sprites and backgrounds as well. the slight shift in perspectives and the blending of singular and plural pronouns was really nice and natural! i want some of that pasta. all in all, goth bless butches
After reading through so much preamble/warning about the state of the game, I was delightfully shocked to see such a well-realized and visually striking intro! I'll perhaps come back to finish the rest as you've rested yourself and put more into it, but I think this is a really promising start! The character sprites have so much charm, and while I know the CSP backgrounds are likely temporary, they too add to a particular kind of flavor that I think is really cool. Keep up the good work!
there's the Ben Esposito saying, "no one said when you made a video game you had to make the entire thing", and there's never been anything more true than that. in a way, this is a kind of beautiful illustration of that in its current state.
so real, so raw & cathartic!! i really love all the 3-frame squigglevision stuff, I laughed aloud at the animal ears drop, and was frozen in place just the same when Kate's animation stopped after the therapist's question. i really loved when the intrusive thoughts became so much that you had to scroll through the individual windows. a lot of clever tricks and symbolism and altogether a really honest and heartwarming thing. thank you for sharing!!
interviewer is great!! it's a quick read, but sets such a nice little tone in its short time you have with it. the art is absolutely gorgeous; the inner shading of Essie's hair being this really light color lends such a sterile vibe to the room she's trapped in. Mim and Mulf are a delight, it took me a moment to realize they were wearing funny little masks over their natural heads. they're trying their best.
a delightful and thought-provoking look into a world with so many questions and possibilities. hoping Essie can find some strength within herself to find the answers she seeks.
and i hope she gets to hook up with the cyborg that'd also be pretty cool
incredible!! some of the best presentation i've seen in ren'py, ESPECIALLY considering the time limit of a month and a half for the game jam which it was made.
the vibes are out of this world, the portraits are so unique and expressive, and the writing is just so solid. despite it all, i'm rooting for these three, in whatever way it can manifest for them. i had to read the whole thing in one go.
the higurashi flavors are delicious, the mystery of the structure of the story itself is so intriguing. every character has something to love in spite of their flaws and eventual conclusion. absolutely looking forward to ~phase 2~ whenever that time may come.
what a ride! i really like the flavor of a lot of the dialogue. crystal referring to herself as "daddy" is very correct. there's so much to latch onto here, so many questions. very cool, very fun, and so many lines that drive-by you hard in the gut
I was really charmed by ep 1 of squid girl world!! Aseroe is a fantastic design, and the color choices throughout the game are so well-picked, especially in the very striking backgrounds. The vague similarities in appearance between Sucre and Sepia tugged at my heart, too. The line about God seeing them in their intimate moments went hard, there are lots of good worldbuilding clues that make you wonder about the broader state of the world. Thank you for writing!!
