I will not deny that they can be a bit daunting due to the size of the puzzles. I had gotten so fast at them I was completing them in about 5-10 minutes. But then again with over 10k test plays I got really good at doing them.
I did have thoughts about making earlier ones smaller but left them that size for those whom like these style puzzles.
Some times the backgrounds on the puzzles will trick your eyes. Looks like the puzzle is about completed but in reality, one piece is out of place. Not gonna lie... On a few of them i walked up to the big screen like wtf... Why can't i complete the puzzle... Ohhhhh this one is in the wrong spot Ffffffffffffffff! Now i have to mess up 1/2 the puzzle to fix it and complete it.
I'm personally not a huge fan of these puzzles but my wife does as well as many others.
I'm more like you on this and agree 6x6 would have been large enough. GlL on the puzzles.
Lastly, there is a small bug "not really a bug but more of a mild mechanic issue on the puzzles. Do not hit diagonals. It will break the puzzle with no way to complete it. Forcing you to press the menu button and exit the puzzle. You can then re-enter the puzzle and try again. I could not for the life of me get each of the events to check collision on diagonal puzzle pieces... Hence that little bug.
Again, it breaks the puzzle for that instance. Does not brick the game. Just need to exit puzzle and retry at that point.
