Thank you for your Feedback CaffeinatedGamerYT!
we used unreal engine 5 with their lumen and nanite technology to push the asthetics of the game. this requires good specs. but we also added graphic settings in which you can lower all kinds of settings, play around with them.
to equip the magazine you have to press [Left Click] while holding the gun and looking at the magazine.
Items that can be equipped light up every few seconds, which should make it easier to distinguish them from static objects.
we added the apples and books mostly to play with granny since she reacts to the sound when you drop items. but there is also a book which give you access to an easter egg. In the future we will make a video about it.
the game shall be not too easy to complete, so that you look around a try to figure out how it works But If you want to complete it fast watch our Play-Through on youtube.
Hope that make things clear.
thank you,

Hi folks,
my brother and I loved the game "Granny" by Dvloper. It is so simple but so creepy.
So we came up with the idea to recreate the game for PC, but with better graphics, high quality assets and a more dark atmosphere. And here it is: Granny Remaster
We used "Unreal Engine 5" as our game engine since it offers one of the best lightning mechanics ("Lumen") and much more. So keep in mind that our game requires relatively good hardware (see at the bottom of our website). For the assets we mostly used "Quixel" and "Sketchfab", because they offer some very good assets with the best copyright rules for everyone(it's free to use more or less). Also keep in mind this is our first game we never used any game-engine before so we spent many months to get this game to this state. So we would love to get constructive feedback!
The game itself works like the original game "Granny". You end up in a house and have to get out. Granny chases you and there little puzzels to solve. But we changed the hole house and the story a bit to give it a bit more depth, i hope. For that we made cutscenes at the beginning and the end. But we kept the same model (see image) to keep the reference.
Furthermore there are little and bigger eastereggs, since I love eastereggs.
I hope you enjoy our first game.
