I've been trying for a while now but i don't know how to turn on vore, Could anyone say how?

Does having too much corruption make people shun you? Been worried that it would lock me out of interacting with npcs if I have too much corruption

I've been trying to figure out how to unlock the mines for a while and it keeps saying I need to talk to someone, I thought that might've been Blake but he doesn't want to talk to me at all. Who do I have to talk to to gain the right to mine? Or is my game glitched?
