this game is amazing, my only complaints are that it is unclear what masks do, and because of the lack of a difficulty setting i found myself getting bored after my 3rd run. other than that it’s great.
the game overall is good, but the first boss is INCREDIBLY difficult, I died 215 times before I quit. most bosses from hollow knight are magnitudes easier than this boss. the difficulty mainly come from him having 20 health, the stage being very small, and you only having one health.
I am using Ue4 to make my game, and what I didn’t know was that every time you move levels every variable is reset. I have no idea how to get around this, and this rule makes my game unwinnable. There is no way I can remake my game around this rule in the time left in the jam so I must quit.
as one of your first games, this is good. the animations are done well, but sometimes when you use your sword while running the animation doesn’t play. the major thing that is wrong with the game is that the respawn lags the computer i am playing this on and the respawn ends up takes much too long. a minor thing that you should fix is the fact that some of the platforms are hard to see, i died 3 times on a level because my jump got blocked by a platform that i dint know was there.
