What is the theme of the jam?

Thanks! I was having trouble thinking of an idea for "conspiracy theory", so I just decided to go with a literal interpretation.

To be honest, I'm not sure why that happens when you restart the game. I assume that it is spawning all the objects that were there when you died, but I don't know why it's happening. This was created for a game jam, so i didn't have time to sort that out.

The rules state that the game must be created "from scratch". However, the email I received announcing the jam states:

"I will announce the theme once the jam begins and then you have up to 48 hours to create a game from scratch using any assets you can find."

So, are purchased assets allowed? What, exactly, is meant by "from scratch"?
