Unfortunately the software I use isn't compatible with .vgm.

I am glad you like them, unfortunately they will have already been used in other games so I couldn't exclusively license them. I am more than happy to write you original tracks like these though. I have a Fiverr if you're interested: https://www.fiverr.com/s/8z4LvRz

If you are looking for 100 free tracks for this game jam then I can send you my pack for free. Have a listen https://makegamemusic.itch.io/game-boy-style-mega-music-pack

Contact me here or email me: shelby@makegamemusic.com and I'll send them over.

Note, they are in MP3 format but made using authentic gameboy sounds.

Good luck everyone :D

Hey everyone,

I'm thrilled to announce the release of my brand-new Synthwave Full Game Music Pack! This pack features 10 high-quality tracks that blend nostalgic 80s vibes with modern production, perfect for any game developer looking to add a retro-futuristic touch to their project.

Whether you’re developing a sci-fi adventure, a stylish RPG, or an action-packed arcade game, these tracks will bring your game to life with pulsating beats, lush synths, and dynamic soundscapes. From high-energy moments to ambient exploration, this pack has got you covered.

You can check out the pack here: https://makegamemusic.itch.io/synthwave-full-game-music-pack and listen to samples of each track to get a taste of what’s inside. I’m confident that these tracks will be useful for some of you out there and keep your players immersed and engaged.

I’d love to hear your feedback and see how you use the music in your projects. Feel free to share your thoughts and any questions you might have!

Happy developing,

Shelby

Would certainly be an interesting project. I'll see how easy it is to find the soundfonts and what quality they're at. If possible, it would be awesome to make a music pack using those games sounds. Thank you for this suggestion, I never really thought of doing it before but since I grew up with the console, it would be a lot of fun to make!

(1 edit)

Would love to do that, but because the N64 didn't (essentially) have a sound chip, there isn't an N64 sound. But if you have suggestions for games you love from that console, I could get the soundfonts together and compose a music pack out of them :)
