Hello!

Just wanted to know if you have any plans to sell the songs as a separate pack.

Also, any plans to sell the game on Steam with more weeks or anything? Or here with added content. It seemed like a really fun game with good music, and I saw some mods for it already so it seems like something with good potential.

Looking forward to the full game!

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello!

Just wanted to say what a beautiful town you made! I had such a fun time exploring the level and looking at the different types of architect and furniture.

I also wanted to thank you for having a website up that has information on what real life items/buildings the assets were based on. I was using that as reference to provide tidbits of information in a video I made. It was nice to know what items were what and the word it was called in Japanese.

The mechanic where you can change the time of day was a great touch too. I know the demo had other intended purposes like showing off assets, but I just had such a fun time looking at everything.~

Have a great day!

Glad to hear from you again! Sounds like you've been super busy. The different powered dresses and in game store sounds great~ Wishing you the best of luck with the game and life in general!

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello!

I've been following the project for a while now so I'm glad to finally be able to play the teaser! The Scrap Story world feels so lively and just picture perfect~ I'm really digging the paper aesthetics and I'm excited to see what the combat mechanic will be like. The controls, for the most part, felt smooth and I had no quarrels with how the puzzle solving worked. Unfortunately, I did have a few gripes with some parts of the demo. I noticed you updated the teaser, so all these points are just what I experienced before this update as I'm not sure what was and wasn't fixed.

1) Falling off the map. (Example: 2:05 of the video)

To be honest, I felt like it was too punishing to fall off the map when trying to explore nooks and crannies at the far back of the screen. I actually fell off multiple times but cut it out for video's sake. I could understand falling off when nearing the front of the screen, but near the back didn't make too much sense for me when wanting to look for potential secrets.

2) Hard to see obstacles (5:09 and 9:20 )

I wasn't sure if I did it right, but I had such a hard time getting to that platform since I wasn't sure where to land due to the camera restraints. It'd be amazing if we could move the camera a bit to the left or right with the right joystick, but it's just a suggestion.

3) NPC can float (4:34)

I honestly thought this was pretty funny. A bit immersion breaking but funny.

4) Untranslated Dialogue? (8:42)

I'm assuming this is an easter egg or just untranslated dialogue. It was pretty funny, but hopefully others will be able to understand it.

5) More Save Points? (7:28)

This is just a personal preference, but I didn't like restarting all the way near the flower fields after managing to reach the bees.

Another thing I wanted to ask about was whether or not there was an 'ending' point to the demo. I was pretty lost after obtaining the paper airplane card, but I figured maybe I just couldn't figure out a puzzle I failed to notice.

Anyway, that's all I have! I hope I didn't sound rude when pointing these out. I really loved the demo and the liveliness of the paper themed world is so well done. I'm looking forward to the full game!

Thank you for the free resources~ It's very generous considering the high quality of it.

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \  Hello~

Beautiful game and story telling like always~ I have a fascination with dolls, and this combined with an isolated, snowy town made for such a haunting setting. It seems like there was more symbolism here compared to your other games, so I was really interested in trying to understand the underlying plot elements related to the murder.

Also, I was wondering if the mention about the school girl will be in a spin off game, or if you'll be selling a game in the future as I'd really love to buy them to support you guys. Anyway, I love your work! I always look forward to playing your games.

Thanks for the hard work you've been putting into this! There's not many good character creators out there, so this is a blessing  in my opinion.

(1 edit)

Congrats on finishing the game! Judging from the screenshots, looks like you really improved the graphics. Looks so much cleaner and sharper now. I'll play it soon when I can~

EDIT: Hey, it looks like the product can't accept Paypal at the moment? Might want to check that out.

Wow, that's a huge  difference. Would love to see other comparisons if you have more screenshots.

Glad the full game will be out soon, and congrats on your accomplishment! Making a game, especially if it's a solo project, is a huge undertaking, so I really commend game devs who have the motivation and worth ethic to complete it.

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Super cute game you have here~ I felt bad for killing the ants by accident, but I admit I laughed at the crushing sound. This game is short and sweet, but I honestly wouldn't have minded if there were more levels or an extended version of this some day. The ants were just so cute, and I loved the way they talked.

Overall, I enjoyed playing this~ Great job~

  ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Lovely game you have here!

The art style and world building is just so cute, and it reminds me a bit of the Mario series in terms of its style and feel. I'm a bit sad it won't get a full development as I think it has great potential. I honestly would've bought this if it was a complete game as well.

I think keyboard support would benefit players who don't own a controller, so that's really my only gripe with the game. The controls were my fine for me, and it was easy to understand once playing around with them. Overall, I enjoyed this for what it was and hope to see more projects if you ever share some. Great job on the game~

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Your games are always so lovely! The art style is mesmerizing and charming as always, and I liked how the phone was implemented to be a menu and plot device. I thought it was pretty interesting to see more Japanese writing here as 'After School' and 'Sango' didn't utilize it as much. The story was bittersweet, and I enjoyed the tone of it overall despite the game being so short.

Looking forward to more games from you guys in the future~

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

This was a lovely game! I really loved the papercraft aesthetics and overall atmosphere, but I do wish this was longer or had more interactivity to it. I could definitely see some sort of anthology or collection of short horror stories with this type of story telling. Even if there are few interactions or actual gameplay mechanics aside from walking, I imagine it would be quite popular.

Overall, this was an enjoyable experience with an awesome art style and presentation! Hope to see more games from you guys some day~

Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time this year. Best wishes to you and hoping for the best!

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

I always leave a review on games I play, so I just wanted to let you guys know that I absolutely loved the game! The aesthetics were what drew me in in the first place, and the scissor mechanics were what got me even more involved and invested in this.  I enjoyed cutting things ( to an unhealthy degree) throughout the game, and the puzzles were quite a lot of fun.  Like most people, I'd definitely pay for a full game like this since this is just too much of a gem to pass up.

Overall, great job to everyone who worked on it!

This was a fun and enjoyable experience.

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Twas nice seeing the dinosaur up close and personal. Seeing the way it interacted with the car with its increasing agitation when I was hiding was both a scary and fun  experience for me.  I just wish that this wasn't just a recreation of a movie scene as I would've loved to see it be longer, and maybe have an ending goal in mind as I can see how fun it'd be hopping from car to car to escape a dinosaur (or dinosaurs if that version were to be made).

Overall, great job on this~ It's a nifty game.

Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to export the items alone in a future update. I wanted to mix and match some hair, but it's a bit difficult since the body template gets in the way.

  ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Hope you don't mind, but I gave the game a try and even made a video on it. I honestly like this a lot better than Baldi, but I also found it to be much more difficult too.

Most of the trouble I had was really with just the math problems since I had to keep re-clicking on the answer pad to answer again. It was stressful compared to Baldis since the questions were longer and numerous, so I just intentionally got them wrong to get through.

I like that this isn't just a complete reskin of the game. The game is clearly intended to be dark and creepy with its narrow hallways and npc design. I found the smaller sized rooms to be too much of a disadvantage sometimes though. (Especially the one map with the dog portrait  at a crossway)

Overall, cool game. I prefer it over Baldi's in some aspects. Too spooky for me to play again on my own whim though. Good job on it~

  ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Nice little game you have here, and I commend you for creating all the assets presented here. I loved the part with the music notes and castle puzzle - those maps  were a treat to wander in and experience. My only minor complaint is the short duration of the game as I saw a lot of potential near the end of the game, but was disappointed that it stopped when I wanted more.

To be honest, I thought the game was glitched at first as I was stuck in the first map without triggering anything. Beyond the first level, everything was enjoyable, and I loved some of the small details involved with the puzzles. Reversing the music was a nice touch, and I thought it was amazing to see the assets change art styles.

Overall, nice job! Lovely music as well.

I love the program! Great job and looking forward to more future content!

It's alright, thanks for letting me know about the ending! I really appreciate it.

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Loved the game! The combat was tremendously  fun, and the voice acting was terrific. There were a lot of intricate details like being able kick simple objects, killing enemies through environmental hazards, and the level design was just top-notch. The attention to detail honestly amazes me. If this was a full game on Steam, I would honestly buy it.

The only thing that truly bugged me was the difficulty of the final boss fight. I chased the final captain into the palace, and the fight became too aggravating and long with the amount of guards showing up as it dragged on. I would've been perfectly content if there was at least a checkpoint after the mid-boss fight 'cutscene'. After a few more attempts, I honestly just gave up which was a shame as I really did want to see how it ended.

Overall, fun game. Hope you guys got an A on the project!

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Lovely game you guys have here! The opening cut scene surprised me since I wasn't expecting the quality of it. It was very beautifully narrated and animated. I also loved the concept of the story and the oriental environment; in fact, it was the asian architecture that lured me in the first place.

Gameplay wise, the 'world hopping' and sapling planting made for some really unique game mechanics as well. Unfortunately, I did manage to break the game a few times while using them so this isn't without bugs. It's understandable as game development  is quite difficult. My biggest problem was really just the explanation on controls. Some of the tutorial posts required the player to follow a certain path in order to see them (and I was wandering around aimlessly so I saw some too late).

Overall, very cute game! I really like the npcs and characters being mice. It's quite a quirky and adorable design choice. Good job everyone~

I agree with taking your time on the game to polish it up. Congrats and best of luck with the new job as well!

  ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hiyya~

Just wanted to let you know this is one of the cutest games I've ever seen, and I love the 'storybook' style in this. I've always had a thing for pop-up books ever since I was a child, and this demo perfectly captures the essence of what they're like. This type of approach to art design is rare to see in video games/visual novels, so I was pleasantly surprised and taken aback by the nostalgia this brings.

Aside from that, I think my biggest and only complaint may be the quiet music and sound effects. I couldn't really hear much of it while I was playing, and I had to boost the audio tremendously while editing. Not sure if it was just a problem with my speakers or hearing, but it was the only thing worth noting. Other than that, the gameplay was fine, and I really enjoyed the puzzle involving the house. I'd  love to see more puzzles since the house one was quite intuitive as it relates to the story itself.

Overall, I'm glad I played this and I'm excited to see the finished product! Good job on making this~

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

This game creeps me out too much to finish it. I do love the various characters in the school and the different ways they interfere with my progress though (except for Baldi). I wouldn't mind seeing more unique and silly characters in a future update, or whatever game you make in the future.

Overall, I find this to be an interesting game, and I guess at this point it's become a meme of some sorts because of its popularity on YouTube. I appreciate that this doesn't follow the stereotypical horror formula with blood, guts, and some dark, spooky setting. It's a unique type of horror simply because of it's odd aesthetics, outdated graphics, and Baldi's jumpscares.

So good job on the game~

I wouldn't mind seeing more quirky games like this in the future.

ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ ~Hello~

I'm glad you made a new  version for this!

I remember playing the original game a while back, and seeing improvements in the dialogue along with additional content definitely gives this a more superior and stranger atmosphere than the original. The new backgrounds/environments was especially nice since, if I remember correctly, the original had very little changes in settings.

I do think it would've been nice to tweak the pacing a bit to add more tension, but at the same time I think this was well executed as you're sticking closely to the original story and formula without changing too much. Overall, I thought it was a nifty story and had a fun time reading it, so good job! I liked this.

 ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello again!

This was an amazingly dark and grim tale, and I loved every moment of it. The storytelling has improved dramatically since your previous games, and the art and presentation here is more eerily pleasant to look at.

Story wise, I was able to predict some things right off the bat, but the amount of twists and turns actually surprised me. There was just so much more beneath the surface that I was left in awe at all the grimy details. I have to say that this has become one of my most favorite visual novels of all time as I'm a sucker for gruesome mysteries, and I find the symbolic creativity of this to be inspiring.

Of course, this doesn't come without faults. As you're aware by now, grammar is a big issue, and mistakes in the introduction can potentially drive away players. Maybe you can find someone to proof read for you. Other than that, everything was fine for me.

Overall, I loved reading this and I'm looking forward to your future projects!

  ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ ~Hello~

Just wanted to let you know that I absolutely loved the demo! I play a lot of video games, but rarely do I ever feel so excited about the full release of one nowadays.

The style and overall feel of this is just such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The art, music, and map design are all very top notch. Even the puzzles and gameplay mechanics mesh in quite well which tends to be a rarity in most games.

I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of content on the map. The little easter eggs/collectibles are a really nifty addition as it adds a nice depth to the game for rewarding exploration. Overall, I have no complaints here as this deserves nothing but praise. So, great job on the demo!

Really looking forward to the full game~

  ฅ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ Hello~

Just wanted to say I enjoyed the demo! The puzzles were intuitive, the atmosphere was on point, and I found the different colored  lighting to be a nice touch. I appreciate the bits of lore given as it makes me curious about the overall plot. I believe it's important to set up a good story to help players invest emotionally in a game.

One recommendation I do have would be to provide subtitles during dialogue. It was hard for me to make out what was being said from the radio along with the film projector cutscene.

Gameplay wise, the biggest problem I had was really just the last puzzle. The art room puzzle was just too ambiguous as there was a lack of direction. It was hard to interpret the paintings correctly, and judging from your previous comment the player might've needed to know some backstory to figure it out. Not everyone is that knowledgeable on who Dante is and his life story. I think providing a cue or note would've helped with that part.

Overall, great demo with actually good gameplay! Looking forward to what this has in store for the future!

Wow, I wasn't aware there would be an affinity system. That's rare nowadays so this makes me super excited. Looking forward to the full release!
