Fascinating entry. I really like the idea of placing blocks and also the fact that it changes later to more platformer based. Great music too!
I felt that controls were what blocked me. Snappiness of the blocks to each other is very strong and it's hard to separate them. Movement is quite hard too. But apart from that it's a great game!
I laughed my ass off the moment I launched this game XD
Love the concept and it's extremely satisfying! Squirrels are cute (and it's funny that dark squirrel changes into a white one)
Controls need a bit of work, it was hard to play on both mouse and keyboard with everything so related to each other. And I can't really see a theme of the jam in it, even if you call move direction a 'wind' :P
But it was such a fun game!
Truly an educational game :D Loved the presentation of it and that it teaches stuff well, but it was a lot to remember to use in gameplay. I would suggest putting some "?" sign in the corner or something on which you cna click to see the beginning slides again.
Art is very clean and pretty and I enjoyed the mechanics quite a lot, though I wish the tasks were a bit more obvious on what we want to achieve etc and things were a bit clearer.
Thank you for your game!
Fun experience :D
Love the fact that the use of prerequisite is not literal to controls like in most games! Art is pretty too and concept itself is interesting.
Interactions could use a bit of polish. Seeing more clearly when spikes can kill us, having movement that is a bit faster (especially on level 3), lighting up the used button and fan, etc. Things that would make game a bit more readable and enjoyable :D
But apart from that it was a great submission!
Extremely atmospheric game!
I love the mood and made me feel really cozy, though (as it is a case with gamejam games quite a lot) it would be much better while finished up with everything you had in mind :D Having more interactions based on what we buy or some gameplay changes over time would really help find it more enjoyable.
Would love to see it as gathering resources and upgrading your 'base' for an unpleasant coming event or something :D
Anyway, great gamejam submission and I would love to see you work on it further!
Wonderfully made game :D
Artistically pleasing and very enjoyable concept wise.
I love the little parachute and style of the game though if you would be looking forward to improving it further then there are couple bugs/glitches I noticed:
- You can smash space to fly if you do it quick enough. Might be a problem if you will make more challenging puzzles, as you can just fly to them.
- Fade In/Out is a great addition, but in your case, the fade In triggers before the screen is completely dark, so probably you have to add a lil more delay before screens swap.
Apart from that, great job <3
Nice :D I didn't know about this game, but friend of mine told me after we've created Make'em Cringe. Btw it seems that this game is on steam now :D https://store.steampowered.com/app/270630/Haunt_the_House_Terrortown/ In case you want to recall some memories :P
