The stop on expanding is a mechanism if you are too close to the edge so you don't get stuck in the wall, but if it happens in the middle of space that's a bug😅.

It's game maker play installation, but you shouldn't need anything external(?).

Glad that you liked it and thanks for the kind comment. My original idea was too put the egg in the center of a light maze with multiple spawns but I ran out of time so I stuck with the basic spawning from the basic prototyping. 

I got that the first time I installed it but then it worked the second time. I was in a bit of a hurry uploading and I didn't find what was wrong when I check the code, and it never came up in game maker when running it. I'm going to do some polish and fixing after the jam so thanks for posting the exact error code!
