Not a bad little game.  I really liked the little "tree man" animation, and the idea of drinking something weird to get to the next level was quite novel.

The random level generation worked well, but had a slight downside.  Some of the levels were of a size where if you didn't happen to choose the correct direction to walk in first time you would just lose through no fault of your own.

I'd either give a bit more time so there is JUST enough time to find and drink if you go the wrong way first, or make the levels fixed, so that a player could take the time to "learn" them and become expert through repetition.

My top score was 30 - my advice if playing is to run the time down as much as possible in each level before drinking.  If you find the goo straight away, sit on it until your time is low, then drink it, as you start each level totally refreshed.

For 24 hours to produce this game you did really well!  Nice work.

Great advice gunnar - I'll definitely play with that idea in future.

Thanks Magoo - saw your comment in the recording of the live stream - it would have been good to nerd out on it, my background is in biology.   The concept of this is potentially as a first level, where you're flying towards the island - the island itself would be heavily forested as the name suggests!  The main theme is obviously the high levels of oxygen giving rise to the prevalence of giant insects (taken to extremes in the game, obviously!).  If I take this further into making a full game out of it, then you'll be seeing plenty of trees and ferns!

I really loved this - my best score was 3800 - the idea of adding ships to your swarm to increase survivability added an extra dimension of risk/reward - do I go the safe route and have it harder later, or do something risky to get some spare "lives".  The sound and colour scheme worked well together.  Really nice.

Nice little game - LOVED the low-poly space ship design.  Maxed out at 20,400 points with a psychotic fly at them shooting style!

Thanks - they ARE super annoying - like mosquitoes in real life!

Well you kicked my butt, my best is still 3450!!  Thanks for the feedback - appreciate it.

Thanks - with only 72 hours I didn't have time to put a proper level format in, but I'm exploring the idea of expanding it out to at least a full-fledged level with hornet end boss!

I thought this was a really fun little fast paced shooter (I hit a 54 kill streak before one of the black armoured goons got me).  The only thing that surprised me was the fact that the powerups on the floor stopped the projectiles so should probably not be in a collision mask that the projectiles are looking at, and occassionally an enemy would shoot me with projectiles being fired out of their back!  Maybe that will teach me for trying to be all sneaky :-)

Great little jam game  - nice work.  The pacing of the game was excellent.

Thanks Fredspipa - I'll do that next time!
