You can do that!

Even including it a little bit in your game will get you that point

No, But the theme has bonus points!

Yes, Just please don't add WASD controls that moves a player. That's what it means. The gameplay should be text-based, Just like you mentioned!

The jam was delayed to allow for more time.

Then do it!

Yes! Just don't add a 2d player controller and you're fine! You can even make a 2d game where you give commands and then the graphics change!

No problem!

I mean you can make an RPG game or any other game you want, But it should be text-based.

Please state any issues/bugs/improvements with PhazorJS and I will patch it as soon as possible.

Vortle community · Created a new topic "A few suggestions"

okay, nice app and everything. i've downloaded this when i saw your tweet from like, what,  a month ago? and now i'm kinda liking it. my first suggestion would be some possible interactions with the environments, now of course this would need the scenes to be object-oriented and then rendered, and that would slow down the whole program, but i think it's worth it. being able to click on a leaf and watching it get disconnected and fall, or even click on the water to form waves would make the whole thing much, much better. as for the match game, we need sound effects, especially for streaks. we want that dopamine to be released every time we hear that pop sound from a streak to boost the mood. for the tetris, i love how you could see a preview of where the piece falls, but again, sound effects. there is also one key detail missing: different color tiles! plus, the options in the main menu do not have support for mouse scrolling, and i'm hoping for a community addons! probably a github repository that allows people to make pull requests for their addons to be reviewed and added, and then a builtin addon manager to manage stuff like this. if you want, i might be able to help with all of these, if you mind adding an API and a community addons feature, so we could use events and everything to create all these!

tldr; list

  • sound effects
  • community addons + addons API
  • different colored tiles for tetris
  • object-oriented backgrounds (to make the next item possible)
  • interactive backgrounds (eg. clicking on a leaf would make it fall)

:)
