Nice, i really liked this. Though the music file "Welcome to Hell" was missing so i had to replace it with another song so the game would start up.

This was better than i could've expected, i was actually kind of sad when it ended as i was genuinely engaged with the story. My only real complaint is that the music in the game wasn't playing for whatever reason, i checked multiple times to see if i accidentally had it off, but no it just wasn't playing. Overall can't wait for the Creating Goncharov Remaster for the 50th anniversary.
WARNING, SOME SPOILERS FOR CheatStuck down below. Play it first before reading
Cheatstuck Act 1 is utterly amazing, like my god. it took me 10 hours to finish it, and i didn't even get all the achievements. (just most of them). This is exactly what i was looking for in a homestuck fangame. I'm really excited for act 2. It sort of makes me sad that you made all these troll characters that are now all dead tbh. My favorite design out of all of them is Lackmi Torapp, Cutest design and i liked what dialogue we got out of her. Another troll character which i thought was funny was the rival character Kahuna Takana, He only really came to mind since during the characters screen at the end he popped out of the trash and got a good laugh out of me. The only other thing that comes to mind too is SANSon Bonnes. Like my god, Sans Undertale is in a homestuck fic, and his lusus is Tobe(y Fox). Which caused the whole connection between the troll and human session, I utterly love this. I also utterly love the fact that this is a fangame, I spent time looking for a homestuck fangame i would really like. I just only managed to stumble into this after some digging for a while. There were a few bugs, like i saw "y" instead of "and" and i remember one time while Aruke had her cloak on that it showed a dialogue portrait of her without it. But there was nothing game breaking. The only other notable bug is that i played for 10 hours yet itch says i played for 5, Which makes no sense as i've played this game for effectively the entire day. So maybe figure out why thats happening? I guess the only thing to note is that you can skip like 3 hours worth of this game by Andree going to sleep, which is pretty funny, I'm suprised it's a feature.
I guess the TLDR of this comment is just... Thank you for making this Fangame, it was exactly what i was looking for and im excited for more.
Slight spoilers for the first HEADLINER game (this is just me putting my review in the comments as i dont think you can view whats written in reviews
Novinews is a noticeable improvement over the original HEADLINER i don't have much to say but I recommend picking this up, I'm definitely going to play this again since there's some bonus content that unlocks after you beat the game, ill update my review if I have any complaints but this game is noticeably better, with it not heavily punishing you and only punishing you for pushing for what you believe in.
the score i put for this game is 5 stars, i might go back and edit my review to explain more, but there are probably others that can do a better job and i dont feel like i have a different enough of a opinion to go super into detail, unless i feel like explaining why this game is better than the first game in the series "HEADLINER"
SPOILERS ahead (this is me reposting my review into the comment section as i dont know if you can view reviews on ITCH.IO sorry if that is possible because i dont know how to view reviews)
Im not a fan of this game, while some might say that i just need to do another playthrough and that i didnt see the whole game, i wont play this game again, this game just wasnt very good, it was ok at the best and i really didnt like my ending as it felt like i died for nothing, the daughter didnt stand up for what she believed in despite me often choosing the dialog options for her to do what she believes is right. basically, everyone i knew in this game suffered and i died, and nothing stayed and society stayed in status quo somehow despite the local headliner who supported Purists rights and made modified people out to be aggressors often (which for many cases they certainly were) was killed and a celeberity outed for being a purist with support still performed and also was killed. yet somehow nobody cares. what did i do wrong? was i supposed to support everything that says bad about modification even if its borderline advocating slavery (either that or im misunderstanding what compulsory labor means) this game, at least of my playthrough seems to be center in the idea of Honest press is dead, you must be for oppression and racist to succeed because thats where the money is at, or thats what i was getting for this game. avoid this game unless you are curious of the roots of HEADLINER:NOVINEWS which is actually a good game. i guess you get what you pay for with a 3 dollar game (or not if you are like me and got it from the bundle) so overall, dont get this game, get Novinews or other simular games like "Not For Broadcast" while it isnt the same as Headliner, its fun and delves in similar ideas.
My rating for this was 2 stars as i feel like i may have somehow did something wrong, like a wrong choice or something that made the world logic just make no sense, because NoviNews (which i played second) is nothing like this
SPOILER WARNING AHEAD ON THE ENDING (i hope its ok to put my review on here as i dont know how you can see reviews on here, im sorry for any inconvience i just want people to see my thoughts on some issues i have with this book (which is probably just me overthinking things to an extreme degree)
This was a good read, though I WAS NOT along for the ride comfortly, i genuinely mid-story, stopped reading because i was worried, as while you should stop overthinking things, you should still THINK IN GENERAL, the ending felt a bit weird and just has this looming feeling of something being wrong, sure its a "happy ending" but (thank god for me wasting hours on tvtropes) its what can be best described, at least for me as a Esoteric Happy Ending, as what just happened is not right as she never knew of this and may have backed out, also is the fact is that she does not know who the old people are, im not entirely sure who they are but i get the feeling they are Probably her parents or grandparents, thats GENUINELY concerning. while it sounds silly she would forget her parents, she did forget her birthday There are also some other ramifications, like for example, she was a cat for a entire year, would that have an effect on her lifespan or will it not, im probably overthinking this stuff, since despite being gone for a entire year, she still has her job and nobody questions her being a catgirl now, hell the odd part is that her friend Sasha, joins in on the fun at the end with 2 lifetime memberships which Izzy willing agrees to be the only payment needed for being a cat for a year instead of the intended weekend. jesus there is so much wrong with this ending, im sorry for overthinking but the under reaction to everything that happened makes me wonder if she is still under the effects of the loss of some sentience, i know this isnt what the author intended but this is what i got from this, this is crazy. so how'd i rate it? 5 stars, while i didnt get the intended result, i got alot to think about and tore into this book like a 9th grade english teacher. i got too much meaning in the wrong places and i feel like i didnt get the actual message, still its a good read and i recommend. (trust me that im not giving this 5 stars just because she became a catgirl, i like it since i got way too much to think about from this)
