Thanks a lot, I finally get to use that pixel transition ^^ nice work.

Last concern (sorry): I also noticed that the default plug-in's “fade” transition doesn't react like MZ's default fade; there's a fraction of a second where the game freezes at the moment of the transition (between the moment the transition is requested and the moment the transition starts) and that's enough to screw up my animations (I have elements that animate during transitions). In fact, it does the same for pixelated transitions, but in my case it's less annoying.

Is there a way of eliminating this little latency, or (and this would be the most pleasant solution in my case), is there a way of activating the plug-in ONLY when I need the pixelated transition (with a true bypass that would allow me to use the original RPG Maker MZ transition?)

Sorry for all my questions, but I'm sooooo close to getting exactly what I want for my game thanks to you!

Hi

and thanks for your quick reply.

Yes, now the game launches. Sorry about that. But maybe it would be worth adding this information to the doc?

I now have another problem; when I want to use the pixelated effect, I get the following error at transition time:

TypeError

PIXI.filters.PixelateFilter is not a constructor

I don't have any other plug-ins activated and I'm simply trying to use the “pixel” effect present in the plug-in, without any modification on my part. What causes this error?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

*Whenever I add this plugin to my game, I get an error :

TypeError

Cannot read property 'getPluginName' of undefined

What should I do ?
:/

---- ENGLISH VERSION ----

This video game was conceived as part of a series of workshops on the theme of "poetry and video games" for middle-school students.

In 2020, Maxime Devige (co-artistic director of the FRAG company) and poet Gabriel Gauthier led a three-week "poetry and video games" workshop with Estelle Plaisant-Soler's 4th grade class at Paul Féval middle school in Dol-de-Bretagne, France.

During these three weeks, Gabriel and Maxime proposed a series of writing exercises (about objects, places, characters...) and the students produced a poetry collection. But they also wove links between this collection and a video game, imagined and developed simultaneously during the three-week workshop, creating items, maps, avatars...

This is the game we're offering you today.

It's a role-playing and exploration game developed on RPG Maker MZ by Maxime Devige, whose content is the fruit of the students' poetic proposals. Together with Gabriel Gauthier, they worked on the format of the playing card, which is at the heart of their game, "Infini Mini Monde".

In this classic RPG (very much inspired by the first Final Fantasy or even Pokémon), you'll have to scour the Mini Monde ("Micro World") and its varied landscapes for the playing cards scattered around. Collecting these cards will sometimes allow you to access new locations or recruit new traveling companions. You can upgrade your skills and equipment to progress, and even make unexpected and disturbing encounters...

The game can be finished in an hour, but it's also possible to spend much longer exploring, daydreaming and, above all, reading the students' texts. All the content of the game is based on the discussions and work of the students over the three weeks. But the game also features a few tougher challenges, for the most persistent and curious players...

The game is free to play on a browser (compatible with PCs, tablets and phones), but you can also download the Windows and macOS versions here.

You can read more about the workshop itself on the "Académie de Rennes" page, where you'll find a very detailed account of the three weeks of workshops. And don't forget to check out the "Maison de la Poésie de Rennes" website and the "3 Hit Combo" association, without whom none of this would have been possible...

OK, sorry, I'm so dumb... You can't call it with a script portion, you actually have to call up the FOSSIL add-on module, and then, set OpenCharacterCreator 1 there...

Fantastic, now I can create a character. But when I validate, the game crashes and I get

TypeError
Cannot read property '0' of undefined

Answer : Actually have to put the character in the team BEFORE calling the script to edit it.

Now, it works like a charm ! Thank you sooooooooooooooo much !

OpenCharacterCreator 1 is not working at all

Hello,

At least now the game starts, yippee!  But unfortunately I can't launch the character creation scene...  Which script should I use?
