Thanks for the free asset. It's great quality and I used it for one of my games.

I've also struggled with jams in the past, so I'm just happy to have a passable version of my game just to show those doubt-demons who's boss. I'll definitely continue working on this game in the future, and continue building up that discipline for finishing up some of my older games.

I feel like the obvious answer is pacing/scheduling/checkpoints, but for me I don't feel like I've developed that competence yet.

I get so excited making, planning or thinking about something, and I'll keep demanding of myself to do something when I'm out of energy.

What are some things you may have learned to help you start planning out a solo project while still satisfying you with progress and leaving yourself time to decompress?

Nothing much to say here. I've been coding for years, but I've always been struggling to complete a project for all the reasons artists struggle (mostly myself). Finally, after coming to terms that I was being lazy and scared, I joined with a new, fresh project just so I could see what I'm able to make to 100% completion.

The result is nothing to write home about, but now I know my abilities, resources and workflow. And now I can go back to endless struggle with more confidence.
