Im going to cry. I've needed this for so long.

I've just. randomly stumbled onto this. It takes me FOREVER to learn new languages and programs, at least it feels like. I think this both will ease the learning curve trying Ren'Py, and get me back to using twine.

My biggest problem with twine is the memory / save system, so I've been meaning to try Ren'Py for the longest time

generally the idea for any project file upload you see on itch io, unless they specify otherwise, I'm pretty sure you're being encouraged to use it for your projects?

it says "FREE realistic plastic material" and all that, so I'm fairly certain this may be intended as CC0 even (though I'm also sure habrador wouldn't mind being credited depending on what you're using it for, or linking to the video, etc)

you probably found out anyway, or used it, so I hope it went well!

OOPS I feel silly!!

People have made guides for how to install on linux, on the steam page

Instructions may vary, and it may be even easier today!!

I know this was 2 years ago, but for those curious and not seeing the time that passed as an answer... this piece of software was developed somewhere around a decade ago when Marmoset was experimenting more with their products. Their 3D Dev stuff was always the money maker, and so that's where their development and support continued to be focused.
Marmoset Hexels 3, from a professional standpoint, is "complete" as a product version, and for "pay once" software continued development isn't common.

Hexels 3 also came from before it was becoming common to do ANY Linux support, let alone the Steamdeck / Steam OS that made it more important for gamedevs to pay attention to linux compatibility.

I run a dual boot system myself, and would love if Marmo Hexels 3 could easily be run in linux... it probably can via some mixture of compatibility tools. It probably wouldn't be as hard as running Clip Studio Paint.

Alas, since this program isn't popular, and is even less known / more niche today, there's probably not any tutorial videos online.

I might take a crack at it, as I keep wanting to get back to Hexels 3

there's also a fun bug where if you sandwhich a ball between two players who are pushing on it, they can both reach 0 points and have the win screen display "Player # wins" with the ball stuck infinitely flashing colors. it is not possible to use the 'back' button during this softlock.

I've noticed a neat glitch, if a player weighs a ball down by gravity and it reaches a high enough speed, it'll clip out of bounds. Same for going upwards.

Yeah I'm a little bit disappointed. Not sure if I just need to go about it a different way or if there's just no way the client subs or bottoms.

One of the maps ended up with the goal in a bubble that's impossible to get to, but at that point I was just letting it lose to see new maps.

This one's a really neat twist on snake games

Cute game! Are there any plans to port it to the android store or steam?

Thank you for not gating people into a reset when they go above par. I really like the idea of low pressure games where I can just do that on purpose. I probably could have put more effort into it, but I got 352/233 as my final score and I'm pretty happy with it.

I really enjoyed this game, thank you for putting it out :D

Thank you so much!! I didn't see unfortunately, so ty for responding

My theory is that the difference in 'ending' depends on leaving/staying and the like with Ollie?

I actually wanted to approach on twitter if the soundtrack could be uploaded to youtube or something. There are segments I would probably listen to on repeat.
