Hi!!!
My name is David, and I am a student at Eckerd College working on a research project where I survey and eventually interview video game writers about their work and their thoughts on AI writing tools.
This is an IRB approved study, and I am working with a professor project manager. Together we will ensure that all information is confidential.
What I need to know is if it is okay for me to ask for writers to take this survey here in this discussion thread. Is this okay?
Second, are there other places you would recommend sending my survey? Currently, we are emailing video game writers, studios and journalists along with posting the survey on Twitter/X.
Any other good places to reach out to video game writers/creators?
The survey takes about 5 minutes, and we are really interested in hearing differing positions on what your writing process is like and what your thoughts are on AI writing tools. Our hypothesis is that video game writers are going to be the most informed on AI tools and how they will affect writing.
