it‘s unpaid but eventual revenues will be dispersed among the potential team.

Hello, I’m a German philosophy graduate and writer who is seeking to build a team that can help me create a game. I know jack shit about programming, and I’ve never built a single game in my life, but I’m confident in my skills as a writer. I’ve written a couple of short scripts for film and a feature-length screenplay. I can send you some excerpts if you want to check out my style.
Now, I want to present what I’ve got so far. Picture this: Two guys are sitting around a table, the blue haze of cigarette smoke filling the air. On the table: an ashtray, a pack of cigarettes, a deck of cards, and a loaded gun.
The two peculiar figures are playing for immortality. A deity arranged the game, presented the terms, and declared the risks.
Each opponent uses the cards in the shared deck. The cards all have three attributes: Physical damage, sanity damage, and calamity factor. If you are interested in the project, I will explain the technical details personally.
All cards affect either sanity, physical well-being, or something I coined "risk of calamity." This has something to do with the overall plot, so I will explain it if you develop some interest.
All cards have some sort of backstory connected with a meta-story that plays inside the game. Players have the chance to be forced to play this meta-story, which is essentially an existential horror story. The stories in the cards can lead to sanity damage.
Furthermore, I imagined a physical damage system where players can exchange certain effects or sanity for physical damage. For example: A player trades +10 sanity for a part of their liver, leading to -10 health, and so on.
The aim of the game is the liquidation of the opponent. There are two scenarios at hand: physical death and death of the soul (sanity death).
This is a rough, very rough outline of my idea, and I will talk to you about the details if you are interested. Until then,
Stay alive.
