when will people realize you can't charge money for intellectual property you don't own the rights to.
*sigh*... dave microwaves games started an epidemic. we all remember he's the OG, though.
hey, puppet combo. I don't know how to email you, so I'll just leave this here I guess.
there's some dude whose literally stealing your identity. He steals the names of your games, the story of your games, the scenery of your games, and your promotional material. (displayed below)
("be kind, please rewind")
as of recently, he's been getting a lot of recognition. Notably, Kubz Scouts played his games which were both bootlegs of Scary Tales.

So far, no one has really called him out for this, or maybe they have, but no one's noticing it, because the 616games keeps silencing them. I made a post on his game pointing out how he's bootlegging your games, and he just deleted my post.
I even tried to be constructive in my post, but, no. He didn't want anyone to know that he's copying you, so he deleted my post.
I'm not exactly sure what he's trying to do, but he just seems to be copying every game that has gone viral recently. such as fears to fathom: Norwood hitchhike.
hope you see this, man. What's happens now is up to you.
this game has such an intricate world, crafted with excellence.
basically, it's really good. I liked how the mood changes from gloomy to the exact opposite when you enter a store.
Also, the music and ambiance pairs well with the environment, and the tone of the game is really enjoyable, being lighthearted and funny. The monsters were really cool, too. I especially liked the invisible-lawn mower bulls that wander near the IKEA. Another notable monster would be the nightmarish fish carcass that roams the boneyard.
one problem i encountered was that sometimes when I would be shooting an enemy with a lot of health, it'd seem like they were invincible, and I would give up fighting it. I think the only reason i thought that was because halfway through the fight the enemy would flee but not hesitate to engage in battle again when I got close enough. The workaround to this would be to either add enemy health bars to show the player how much health the enemy has, or change the enemy's texture to a bloodied one as their health gets gradually lower.
super cool game. I'd love to see more games like this. keep it up!
lol yeah i agree. i actually wrote this a while ago when i was caught off guard by it. i was caught off guard by it because it was something i'd seen so regularly, but then it hit me harder than that scene in the matrix where the bald dude betrays the crew and starts killing everyone. what i hadn't realized, is that it's basically the same everywhere. but yeah. it's just people trying to get by.
thanks man! i appreciate it! i agree, the attacks should be telegraphed, but i didnt pay much attention to that because of time constraints and i was more focused on fine-tuning the game. and i do agree that the enemy bullets are too small. unfortunately i dont intend on working further on this project, but if i would, those are things i'd take into consideration. thanks for your feedback dude.
really liked the blade runner part.. was executed perfectly.
the evil dead part just rooted a sense of dread in me. the music is what i think sealed it along with the visuals.
seeing the mountains in the background in the alien was a cool sight to see too.
now all we need are full versions of each scenario. i don't expect you to respond to me, as it's been quite a few years.
i gotta give it to ya. you know how to make a well crafted scene.
the way the music fits with the background is great, really sets the mood.
i guess the only real critique i have is that the water made it look like you were on a floating island and the water patches are hollowed out parts of the ground. i'm assuming you tried to make it look like the sky was reflecting off of the water and that's what it was supposed to be.
if you beat the game and load the save it puts you in the submarine scene but the cinematic where you get up doesn't play, thus you cant move. so, that's a bug i guess... it's kinda a minor one and it's not like anyone's going to press load game as opposed to the new game button after beating it.
all in all, good game.
you tried, and that's what matters. it's not so much chaotic as it is time consuming, and the game seems very unfinished. if i were you, i'd add sound effects to the sword and graphical effects to the as well. chaos should be where the player is overwhelmed and there's tons of explosions on screen, but the player can quickly kill the enemies n' stuff... like in nuclear throne. THAT's chaos in a nutshell.
itch.io is so depressing... every comment section i go into, there's always small youtubers eagerly trying to advertise their youtube channels and every community i go into it's full of people 12 year olds trying to advertise their game. the only parts of itch.io are the ones that belong to the giants of itch.io...
yikes.
oh yeah good game though
hmm.. i see... and are you a famous youtuber?
i know you came looking for exposure, but the only people you're advertising your channel to is other people who are trying to advertise their product. so what i mean is, you're not going to gain any long time fans from this post, this is basically a mutual friendship? i guess?
who knows. maybe if your video gets enough likes, it'll end up in people's recommended feeds.
also i'm not trying to be mean, i just want to be constructive, and sometimes, the truth hurts. this is a rough and tumble world, ya know? that's just the way this world works. if you're rich and famous, people admire you, but otherwise, you're just another one in the crowd of ambitious game developers. that's why you have to be different; unique, you must have what others dont, and it has to be good.
