Hey guys, I recently composed seven tracks for a Celtic and Irish folklore inspired game called 'The Little Green Mage.'

I put a lot of work into these tracks, but I occasionally feel I go into too much detail with the production, making the whole endeavour very time consuming in a way that doesn't necessarily add anything meaningful to the arrangements. Would love to hear your thoughts, and please send any of your own music or sound design if you'd like some of my own thoughts on it.

I’m Hugh Holbech (aka. Miraduel) and I’m a video game composer from the UK. I have a first-class degree in creative music technology, I’ve composed for several games, produced two solo albums, and worked on a number of personal projects, including an ambient music pack.

I have extensive experience composing in many different styles, from intense electronica to adventurous Celtic music.

A quick Google will tell you that the typical rate for a minute of original video game music can be as much as £1000. As I’m a recent university graduate, eager to get stuck into exciting projects, I’m willing to offer my services for only £250 per minute of high quality audio.*

You can check out my latest work on my website.

Feel free to reply to this thread or drop me an email at miraduel@gmail.com if you have any questions.

*Fees may change depending on how soon you would like the original music. Please visit my rates page to see what your soundtrack may cost: https://www.miraduel.com/rates

Hi guys,

I recently made eight tracks for a chess game called 'Mad Chess.' This is one of two that I've released so far. It's for the vampires faction in the game. I feel like my music has too much through-composition, which doesn't suit video game background music that ought to loop seamlessly. What do you think?

I'm Hugh Holbech (aka Miraduel) and I'm a music composer from the UK. I endeavour to make my compositions stand out by striving for personality and musicality in an otherwise incredibly digital world. For all my projects I perform each part by hand, giving my music an organic feel, even when I use synthesisers. I have a large body of work, with both solo music and projects for games. I've made everything from heavy electronica to ambient music for a medieval tavern.
Check out my latest project below; it's a copyright-free music pack for fantasy games. Below that you'll find my 2020 portfolio, which includes some of my more electronic work.

I recently produced a copyright-free music pack of medieval fantasy music. It was partially inspired by Jeremy Soule's work for The Elder Scrolls series. When you listen to the first track, you'll definitely hear the similarities with 'Secunda' from Skyrim.

Hope you guys enjoy. I'd love to know if you have any feedback, and whether or not you could imagine this working in a game. Enjoy!

My latest project was an ambient music pack for fantasy games.

If you like the Skyrim soundtrack then hopefully you'll like this!
