Was very fun, I liked the art a lot and the Seussian theme is fun, the final Globbletop was a neat tone shift and I liked how it ended. Love all of the Globbletops and found that the way the Globbletops were found was different from what I was thinking! My favourite is Bigfoot but Evil's obtaining was also really fun.
I kinda wish the guy that who likes lifting had something to say after he gave me the toy, though I know it's a jam game...
Merle best video game protagonist ever 2024
Great looking game, artwork is superb though there is a bit of a dissonance with the resolution of the character sprites and the environment. I enjoy the inclusion of different classic mechanics like levers, pushable blocks, keys, and an invisible maze; but I feel that the execution of the puzzles could be improved upon if the game is continued to be worked on past the competition submission. The push block puzzle could have been better had it involved a bit more thinking to figure out, perhaps look at a game like Helltaker or classic Legend of Zelda for ideas there. The Levers weren't really much of a puzzle unfortunately, I think it could've involved levers overlapping or activating other levers and the player needing to figure out how to switch the levers to have them all 'on'. The maze was a tad frustrating but was definitely the most complete out of all of the puzzles, I think it's fine though it would be nice if there was a better way to extrapolate where the actual path lies. Overall was a nice activity and the game has potential, sounds effects and music were nice, theming is quite cute, and I can easily see this iterating on older classic puzzle tropes like those seen in classic Legend of Zelda games.
