Looking forward to it! :) The demo was cool, I'd love to see more.

Hi, I just finished v0.4 and I enjoyed this game a lot. The graphics and storytelling go very well together, it feels like a chill pen-and-paper RPG session - focused on narration rather than game mechanics. There's humor, but also actual worldbuilding/character building. To be honest, it's the first game in this space where I decided to chip in on Patreon. (Patreon link in the game profile here on itch.io looks broken BTW, I had to look it up on Google.)
A couple of thoughts/suggestions:
- There are many characters you can start conversation with, but quite often there's no topic available. It would be cool if you could talk about events that happen even with characters that are not directly involved in given plot line (boast, ask for advice, or just small talk). This would help make the setting feel even more like a living world and flesh out the characters.
- From my playthrough, it seemed that barring drastic events (character death, etc.) the hero gets away with pretty much anything and other characters just roll with it or ignore it when it's not happening in "their" plot line. Having more reward/punishment for player choices would increase replayability (since you couldn't please everyone and finish all plot threads in one go) and increase agency of the other characters and the player. It may also lead to some hilarious scenes when the girls find out what MC has been doing behind their back :D Events like MC creeping on Thea definitely *should* have consequences.
- Nobody seems to be concerned with MC getting them pregnant, which seemed a bit odd to me. It's an opportunity to explain it with worldbuilding (it just can't happen between humans and non-humans) or a small plot line (like Sander telling MC he has to make such-and-such potion to avoid the risk).
- A few times I felt that given plot could have more solutions (eg. when trying to overcome the magic seal, MC decided right away to get help from Scarlet, but he could have asked Lori too; or when Thea needed clothes, he could try to steal some with his invisibility). Branching like this could also be used to keep the plot going while also allowing relationships to play more prominent role (ie. some character is upset with MC and won't help him at that time, or MC can convince someone to help even if they otherwise would not).
A nice project! The sci-fi setting with virtual reality is intriguing and voice acting is a nice touch, great to have in a free game. I hope it's not spreading the budget too thin as I'd love to play this as a full game one day :D Looking forward to more plot (and "plot" ^^)
BTW, I managed to close the game by accident, maybe it could ask the player if it should quit?
