So after hearing feedback from players, I have decided on the contents of update 0.2

The next update will include two new control options, a crosshair for shooting, a way to get a fully automatic gun, and Ill start on the main gameplay! I will start working on ship upgrades, but I would really appreciate people telling me about what I should make the game into, an open world rpg or a level based one (https://itch.io/t/584932/future-updates-please-respond)!

Update has gone live, sorry for the delay

That's right, tomorrow Centaurus will get it's first update. It will include a new main menu, some bug fixes, and three new difficulties! Stay tuned for further news.

Thanks for the follow man

I am also looking for a 3d artist to get on board with this. My homemade blender art isn't cutting it for me.

So after the initial release, I am planning to make a couple of small changes to the game play, such as a weapons overheat for the lasers and a credits page in-game. But for a massive update, I have started to work on other levels. I was wondering, should I make this an open world game, or a level based game? By open world, I mean a campaign stretching over multiple systems which you could visit whenever you want, and your overall goal is to destroy the empire by building a rebellion. It would still keep the same core game play though. Or maybe a level based game where you have to progressively destroy larger ships, and you can upgrade your ship along the way to specialize it, and perhaps hire others to help you out and build a rebellion in that way. What do you guys think?
