It just wont start for me. I don't know how to fix it. Old version worked fin tho its just the new one

Why do the power connections look so weird in the screenshots. Are they old screenshots? Is it a new update or something because I haven't played for a while. If its a new update is there a way to change them back to the thin waves rather than the lasers in the screenshots? I hope so because that would really be annoying when building and would really deter me from picking up the game again. I do think its an old screenshot tho since some of the belts and producers look weird
