Aww shucks!

Game maker only really supports pseudo 3D like the old Doom or Duke Nukem games, to get the real 3D stuff working on that is like rocket science...

Anyway, I am glad to know Unity supports 2D maybe I'll make the move to that in the future, or to Godot I hear that's pretty good as well.

I am just abbreviating JavaScript into Java, but since Game maker studio 2 uses JavaScript and it is good at making 2D games but not 3D games one could assume the Unity is good at making 3D games with python and is bad at making 2D games.

Maybe... I haven't used python before it just feels kinda feels that way, either way I am open to being wrong.

I noticed there were ads on those games, that could be a good way for indie devs to make some spare change, similarly like with YouTube, maybe Itch could look into adapting this model for their own service.

I am sure there are complications with this idea that I cannot consider, but I suppose it is just food for thought.

Well, you know python would be better at making 3D games, but Java would be better at making 2D games.

Also, I noticed Adobe Animate uses ActionScript thanks for the heads up I will defiantly be staying away from scripting in that, besides their user interface isn't so bad that scripting is necessary like with GMS2, but I suppose GMS2's user interface is more of a tutorial than anything else.

I see so python is more intuitive than java but java still has it strengths such as with flash.

Does python feel clunky when making flash like applications?

I am curious about anyone who started scripting with java and then moved into python, was it easy? was it hard?  what where your experiences transitioning or adapting from one language to another?

I wouldn't mind giving Unity a go in the future, after all there is only so much that can be done on GMS2... I haven't done it all yet... but still... I am curious.

I think I get it... anyway looks like a simple oversight by the incompetent developer, I will go down to the basement and bang on the bars, and I am sure he will get it right this time.

Hmm, that is actually very interesting, I am mostly just us using simple shapes for collision but maybe 2 squares, 1 at a 45 degree angle will be a bit cheaper then using the circle collision system since that may function as multiple squares with small degrees of angles overlapping or something...

This is a great a game, I was a bit intimated by the upgrade system at first, but it is surprisingly simple and deep at the same time.

The visual and audio are like ASMR for the eyes and ears.

This game progresses at reasonable rate, always introducing new mod and enemy types to keep the combat fun and engaging.

The level of love and passion that has gone into this game is truly inspiring, words cannot express my admiration for the developers of this game.

It is indeed intention, I used square hitbox's instead of circles ones because it takes up less of the system resources to run the game.

I'll update the collision on the game later and if you notice a difference in performance make a comment, I am interested know how much of an effect it actually has on the game.

Ok I think I found the problem and I have updated the game, thank you for letting me about this crash, I want my games to leave a positive impression on all.

I am glad you enjoyed the game so much you would like a sequel, I might look into something like that in the future, I have to admit your words got me so excited that I almost want to do it now... but I have already started on a new project so I will look into it after Project Protoearth!

TD2S does seem like a good game to learn from, I'll give it a go later and drop a comment on the game!

That should be a simple fix, I'll take a look at it in a bit and update the game. :)

Cheers mate!

I am honored by the amount of effort and expertise you put into this comment, you really are a cool person!

I hope to one day be just like you!

Ok dokie, I'll take a look.

Thank you!

Ahh the nostalgia it is strong with this one!

This game is absolutely flooded with charm, beautiful art and music.

I just have one tiny-small question... is it supposed to loop indefinitely when the knives are being thrown?

A little bit of criticism shouldn't hurt... *gulp* I hope...

Also, Grass Elemental looks very charming I will be sure to check it out in a bit. 8)

Please follow and support me if you like the game!

Roger! I will focus future efforts on doing something different!

I can see horror is probably what you are referring to when you say competition.

My games will be colorful with rainbows and sparkles! Not that washed out look!

My main skill is in programming games in Java but since I like the challenge, I also build all my own assets and I have some experience in digital art/composing.

I am willing to pitch in an hour or so per project, for a few projects if I get a follow from you if you are happy with the work.

I love the pixel art!

I am going to post a game soon, maybe today, maybe tomorrow... I am not sure... and I am curious about how to get attention towards the project without upsetting anyone?

Or just in general, how do people usually get attention here on itch?
