Thanks! I loved the video - it's really well made :)

If you're interested, I've written a bit about the game's design process, and a bit about some of the difficulties I've had coming up with ideas to expand the game.

http://matthew-watson.co.uk/games/allocation/

After going through the blue gate and activating the checkpoint to replenish your resources, you can send a skeleton to the left to hold down the pink button in the water. Make sure the skeleton has a long enough run up so it can fall into the water.

To start with, create a skeleton which walks left from your starting location and stands on the blue button there. That should let you get past the gate above the button.

That's a good idea - I've created a BBS page for the game now: https://lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=33693

I've also added the link to the game's description.

You'll be able to download the game as a cartridge from there. Alternatively, you should now be able to find it in Splore under Jam games now.

Thanks! I'd like to expand on the idea at some point, when I have time to.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it :)

Thanks! Some people have posted their times in the comments, and that's really cool to see.

Thank you for playing! I like the idea of a level editor - that could be a lot of fun.

Thank you very much! I'm planning to play quite a few games this weekend when I have some more time.

Thank you!

Thanks!

Thanks!

Thank you!

Thanks - I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you very much :)

THANK YOU!?!

Thanks - I tried to streamline the map editing process as much as I could, seeing as how much you need to do it to beat the game.

Thanks! I would definitely work on the character movement more if I had more time.

No shame necessary - I've seen a few comments from people not realising that. I should have made it clearer that they were enemies, not just obstacles.

That's true - I think if I made this game longer it would need something else to keep it interesting. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the idea! For this jam I decided to stick to the main mechanic only, so that's why all of the upgrades in this game are new rooms.

Thanks very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the main mechanic so much!

That's right -  Pico-8 is a fantasy console so it's a bit restrictive with the controls. I actually set it up with a controller myself when I was showing it to family members.

I'd love to make a full version of this game with a plot like that! Speedruns would be pretty cool too -  I love seeing people post their times in the comments!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed my take on the theme!

Thank you!

Thank you for playing! I personally liked how changing the map around meant you could backtrack through areas and end up somewhere new.

Thank you so much! : )

Thanks - I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it

Thank you very much :)

Thanks!

I really like the idea of having the placement of the room on the map affecting the way the room behaves! That's a really good idea.

Thank you! I absolutely agree - the controls are the area of the game that need the most work.

Thanks so much! I really like the idea of having areas that affect the room placed there - that would be a really good way to add more stuff to the game!

I'm glad you enjoyed it : )

Thank you!

Thanks a lot! The controls are definitely something I'd work on more if I had more time.

Thanks! I agree - the controls could definitely use a bit of work.

Thanks for playing! If I had had more time to work on it, one of the things I'd do would be editing the room design a bit.

Great time! (My best is about 6 minutes after working on the game for 2 days!)

I'm really glad you enjoyed playing it!
