I figured I would just start from the beginning of the chapter and see if that fixes my issue, and it did. I deleted my old saves and the old version of the game so that might have also made the difference.
I will try to edit that code if it happens again. I love this game and am not upset about the problems, have a good day!

Game crashes during palace infiltration when it tries to transition from cutscene to fight at the first dialogue choice regardless of my dialogue choice I make. I moved over saves from a previous version if that helps.
