Thank you VERY VERY much! I really appreciate it!

Hi!

I get the following error when I try to run the game:

___________________________________________

############################################################################################
FATAL ERROR in
action number 1
of Draw Event
for object obj_player:

global variable <unknown built-in variable>(-1610512736, -2147483648) not set before reading it.
at gml_Object_obj_player_Draw_64

Hope it's useful!

Indeed... Thanks!

Sad, I forgot to submit my entry, had it all published and everything https://n42k.itch.io/climbing :(

Can you accept late entries?

Happy people are downloading it and attempting the same in other languages! In Java it's a bit more difficult... But you can make code really short when you compress it by hand!

Seems easy at first, but has a really good progression with each level becoming increasingly more difficult. Overall, very fun to play!

Thanks for the positive feedback, I'm glad you liked my little game!

Will certainly try your entry!

Very interesting game mechanic, to be able to draw to kill enemies, climb walls, and interact with objects.

Thanks for your comment! More quality of life features would of course make for a better game. In my entry for the jam, I opted to keep my game at exactly 1024 bytes, which means I had to cut out as many features as possible for the game to fit within that size.

Thanks! I agree that I didn't consider the background from a gameplay perspective, it was only there for beautification. It definitely can be improved in that regard. I'm glad you enjoyed the idea of a slow moving ship, that's exactly the feeling I was going for!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to tell you if I develop it further.

I agree that the shooting sounds are very repetitive for the default turret, I'll take that in mind if I decide to improve on the concept.

Thanks. That's true, we'll have to wait until the browsers settle on a standard to keep the tiny file size! :-)

Thanks for your comment! Just a minor correction -- it's actually 1024 bytes, not 2kb.
