The first demo was decent, but I felt it wasn't capturing the imagination the same way A Silent Statue did.
But this new demo put those fears to bed! When the first major dream sequence started and I saw the giant wax ass on the wall, I knew I was going to have fun. The wax/candle aesthetic is fantastic and I love how in this version, when you enter the room she was in, you find a wax statue in her place. It's a really creative phenomenon and shows great potential. I'm really looking forward to seeing how expand on the theme in the future.
As for criticism, there's not anything major, just one or two minor issues. I'd like the option to turn of camera wobble as you move.
The first few days could also do with something to make them feel less samey. I was showering and eating at first, but after a while I just started running to the bus, studying and sleeping on repeat just to get to the main part.
And finally, while I did find the optional scene in the bathroom, I couldn't work out what to do once it began. The amount you need to move the mouse each way is a lot (It would take me several strokes of the mouse to go all the way up or down). Coupled with the fact that moving the mouse also makes you look around, I initially found it hard to tell what the game was asking of me, or if moving the mouse was working.
I had a blast with this new demo though! Thank you for all your hard work. I'm really impressed with the progress you've made with this, especially as a solo developer.
