No, selection you did on the game start influence only UI appearance. To precisely set up game to your preferences go to “Settings” and uncheck all the content you don’t want to experience
Sorry, I don’t know who are those “lovers of the classics”, I didn’t hear their voices when the changes were discussed. At the same time “collective mind” supporting me on Patreon (i.e. literally spending money to fund the game development) - of course they are right and deserve to have the game exactly as they want.
As mentioned before, Naked Fighter 3D is fully community driven game! All the changes and features are born in the discussion with my supporters on Discord. We discussed those particular changes a lot and when it’s finally here I can see a positive feedback boost that proves the original decision was right. I assume you didn’t know because you were not the part of the game community which is ok, but now you know 🥰

Apparently, you're using hardware that will not run the high-end game (that requires you to have a decent gaming PC) anyway. On average, unpacking should take you ~5..10 seconds
My first suspect is RAM. I believe that you are hitting the memory limit during the load. Try opening the Task Manager during the game load and check how much RAM are used
