Well this is odd; the hat has apparently traveled back in time.  There is also a bit more room for him (her?  unsure if this hat has a gender, will investigate) to explore.

I have trapped the hat in a box for observation.  We will see what effect this has on the hat's psyche.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a drill.

We have a hat.

I REPEAT, WE HAVE A HAT.

Hi everybody!  I'm Nebroxah, you can call me Ben if you like.  I'm going to be designing a top-down fantasy RPG in the same veins as the original Final Fantasy games.  That's about all you'll find familiar in Dungeoneering, however.  I plan on taking some pages out of Undertale, and subverting a large number of tropes that are usually expected in this kind of game.  This is my first game I've ever made, so I hope you'll wish me a little luck as I join the jam!

Woohoo!  My project might have art after all!  I was resigned to using colored blocks for my characters for this.  Thank you so much for posting this!

1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

Hey, I'm Ben!  I'm a gigantic nerd who has always wanted to make his own games, and I now have the tools, time, and motivation to.

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

Nope!  First timer here!  I had actually planned to make this game starting on July 1st, but then I saw a post for the Jam and thought "Why not?"

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

Big questions here ;-D  My favorite games are the Armored Core series back on the PS1.  I also love the Metroid Prime series, and Breath of the Wild blew my mind last year.  I've wanted to make my own games since I played Wild ARMS.

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

I know how to flowchart a program, but I don't know a line of syntax, so I picked up Game Maker Studio 2 after hearing Undertale was made with the first one.

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

I'd like to live in a sustainable house someday, and would love to build a Earthship.

6. What are your goals for this game jam?

Since I have no real experience and even less artistic skill, I want to make a single floor of the dungeon for the game I have been planning.  I probably won't have any art assets, but I want the game's functions to work properly.

Hey J!  What are your favorite animes?  I cut my teeth on Trigun, Love Hina, Excel Saga, and my all-time favorite, The Slayers.
