Thanks so much for getting the new build to be more stable (and in my case, even run). I’m experiencing some issues with loops that I can’t quite hammer out yet, but nearly everything else seems to be running smoothly.

One small caveat, and it may be related to some of the mentioned UI scaling improvements, but I can no longer select the lines between connections and move them. I use the square connector for finer control and straight lines. I have also tried swapping around to the different modes, but none seem to be draggable anymore. I’ve also tried zooming in and resizing the line width.

Last night I started a new project with the intent of trying my hand at some path features. I created a simple, small, character body, wired it to the Path to Mesh node, added an outline, tried to add an exporting node (but it crashed).

Now when I start PxC, I see my project file is there, and it has an outlined character placeholder as the thumbnail. When I open it, however, there are no nodes; nothing renders.

I’ve checked the JSON, and I’m not seeing any reference to the failed export node, but I honestly have no idea what would keep nodes from loading correctly, and while it was nothing overly complicated, I’d like to keep it if at all possible.

Anything you know of that I can try poking, flipping, resetting, debugging, etc. to help me figure this out? Thanks much in advance.

Update (non-issue)

Completely unsure as to what would have caused my view to be so drastically out of proportion (maybe a subtle bug, but who knows), but it turns out that my group with the aforementioned nodes was there, just way out in void. Hitting the Center to nodes got me there. I figured I would just leave this here in case anyone else has a blank canvas when loading a project and it helps them in the future.

I’m currently unable to use v1.14.1 for the reasons that others (and myself) have reported already, so I’m not sure if this is something that was fixed already in the v1.14 build. Either way, I thought I should mention it.

As the title states, dropping a new Loop node onto either my current project file or a brand new file both result in essentially a crash. I mean, technically, I think it’s locking up (maybe trying to run the loop without anything setup), not crashing per se. It goes full-on “Not Responding” regardless, and never comes back.

Update: I was able to successfully open the looping sample file, copy that loop node, jump back over to my project and paste in into a group without it locking. Maybe that can help you narrow down the issue.

When adding a global variable of type Color with the sub-type Palette, everything works like a charm for a bit. After some time (unsure what the actual cause is) the palette goes blank and the sub-type is no longer Palette and its other two options, but instead appears to be a much larger list full of other (non-color-based) sub-types.

As of this update, I can no longer run the app. ;(

Looking in the log file, the “Directory” is an empty string, and I’m wondering if this is something missed in testing with the new directory setting feature.

I noticed this on a few 1.14prs, but after it’s still the case with this most recent, I figured I’d throw this out there in case you hadn’t noticed it.

Whenever I attempt to add a composite node to my graph and connect two inputs I receive the following error dialog.

I have noticed though, that if I ‘rebuild’ (F5) many times (similar to your advice on loops), it seems to eventually work. I first noticed that I could get it to work at all by switching the Output dimension property to Largest surface, but then later noticed the F5s seemed to do the trick as well.
