Hey kalpurnican, I'm going to try not to give estimates for updates in the future because I'm clearly really bad at that kind of thing lol. I'll give you a status update instead: all of my planned content for the update is 100% written and rendered. I'm currently going through the narrative and tring to improve certain scenes, and to make sure the narrative is cohesive as possible. As part of this, I recently rewrote and rerendered a pretty major scene as I didn't feel it didn't come across as I wanted it to. I don't have a patreon, as I'm not sure I want to take Abroad from a hobby to a job. Thanks for the support, I'm working hard to get the next version out!

The problem probably lies in your AMD processor's interaction with the renpy. I found a relatively dated thread with someone describing the same issue that you have. The thing that doesn't add up is that other renpy games work on your computer. Abroad doesn't have anything out of the norm of renpy games on startup.
Your specifications should be more than adequate to run Abroad. There are a few things that could be causing your issue:
Make sure that Abroad is not in a directory with special characters (characters from a foreign language, etc.)
Make sure you update your drivers.
To further help you diagnose the issue if none of the above work, I need a bit more information - do you have the problem on any other renpy games?
Just created one, here's the link: https://discord.gg/p4zJVt84J2
Help would be appreciated, thanks.
