Hello there! My team and I currently working on our submission for GameOff Jam 2024, titled "Shadow of the Archives" below is a synopsis of our plot

The player is a librarian’s apprentice and is tasked with looking over the library while the librarian is gone. When the player gets there, they are informed by the head librarian that someone has been stealing many secret and powerful books.

They are tasked with finding the thief, as they are filling in for the librarian.

Our team currently consists of

  • 2 Programmers (Myself and 1 other)
  • 1 sound designer/composer
  • 1 writer
  • 1 artist

The reason we need additional programmers is due to not only an unexpected situation on my end resulting in me being unable to use a PC for the forseeable future, but because we need assistance, this project, while still small in scope, is somewhat ambitious, please reply if you are interested in joining, and feel free to take a gander at our current source code!

That's a fair point! Thank you

I am thinking of making a project with the gameboy color pallete, whilst retaining modern features like high resolution, would this still count for the "Small Pallete" challenge?

It would be super dope to see more from this project, especially if it came to consoles some day :3

After that haxeflixel screen, thingsj ust go black with the cursor and fps counter in the corner.. forever.. this is on Xbox One S btw (not newer series models) anyway, just wanna point out real quick that the ludum dare prototype works perfectly on edge (for me at least).. would love to play on xbox, any idea on what is causing this?

(1 edit)

or.. get the FPS Plus Mod (recently updated for week 6)

This is probably the first Visual Novel i've ever really played (unless corpse party counts as a VN) ..and i oughta say; this is just- incredible! i really like how it has a character-based focus- this certainly makes the game much more story rich, baa.. anyway- not gonna let myself ramble much more.. i'm currently playing sissel's route, if you'd like to see the latest clip of that check out the link below:

Quite honestly i loved the immersive game-play and ambiance, this game never fails to provide a scare with its atmosphere, I recently saw Trevor Henderson's hyper-realistic artwork of his original creature 'Siren Head' on his twitter page and it welled up a  curiosity inside me; Is there a game based on this? This game was just.. nostalgic as well.. The PSX graphics really add to the feel. 4.5/5 - An atmosphere you may never forget; Well done!
