[Spoiler]
If the download files get updated, will I forever lose access to this patch or can I just return here if I wish to experience again the best Lake update?
This was definitely worth the wait. Congratulations!
I love when devs become very open about this stuff. A very delicate task to have for balance.
1 feels like the best fit for a self-insert character, looking fairly clean and simple.
I personally prefer 2 overall. It's main advantage over 3 for me is that 2 gives a vibe of being able to both top or bottom very well. 3 feels like a veteran adventurer who can command (and mostly top) that already knows his sense of purpose. He's very handsome and has natural appeal, which is fine as an archetype, but for the purposes of this devlog, I'd take 2.
2 feels like an adventurer done right, that can be honed in many ways. Can also open up for more convenient design changes, as 3 got more pronounced features already.
I love this devlog. No matter what you settle for, do know that we've been enjoying the work nicely! It can only get better from here~ thanks for the opportunity
Fuck man. That was an experience. Definitely expected a jump scare but the heartbreak was really great, in all senses of horrifying.
I'm sure the process of making the game itself has been really personal and reflective for you, so I won't be saying much in that regard. Didn't really expect much from a walking simulator (tbh thanks for adding that as a note, I would have been a bit let down by the gameplay-) buuut it's a really short but great storytelling medium with a pacing that fit well. Obviously nothing groundbreaking but it's really neat and scarily relatable.
The colors of the sudden fireworks really hit home. I love it, I genuinely loved that scene. And I say that as generally someone meh on their flamboyant display. Thank you so much for the experience and see you on a future stream!
HELLO! I made an account solely to give you a boost in comments and engagement for this wonderful piece of art!! Probably my favorite VN in quite a long while. I know I do not offer much with just mere words ($$$$$) but know that I greatly appreciate the amazing work you did (and are doing) here!
It's soooo rare to see animated sprites in visual novels, and I can tell the amount of love and effort you put into this project. I really really want to praise this more. I love how you set up the whole story and setting (which is pretty different for the whole furry VN genre), and it's honestly entertaining for me to watch things unfold, despite me not being able to wholly relate to the extent of Jayce's social awkwardness. I looove it!
The dialogue feels fluid, heck you even make the "text dialogue" keep their flair in their supposedly digital form. The intro music is a soothing piece for my feelings. Aaaahhhhhhhh~~~~~~~
