Good concept. Similar to an Oregon Trail kind of situation. I was surprised to see the game suddenly end after day seven, but I saw that you posted that this was an unexpected bug. The choices given were intriguing, and some of the responses were actually quite funny. The therapy one made me smile. My main critique would be on the formatting of the quests. Quite often the headline would cover the first line of the quest description. Should be an easy enough fix.

An interesting idea. I like that the goomba has unique movement. I also think it's clever to have mario and peach chasing after the goomba, rather than just moving back and forth. The chasing after mechanic did however make the level easier, since mario and peach would intentionally line up under the goomba.
