Would it be possible to make the models of the weapons slightly more realistic? It's obvious that you've gone with a stylized art style, and that's fine, but this is supposed to be a game about blacksmithing, and things like the lack of a tang on the sword blades is really jarring to anyone who knows much about swords - a sword is made of one piece of metal with a thinner strip of metal going down into the hilt called the tang. If they didn't have tangs, they'd just fly apart where the blade meets the handle the moment you tried swinging them. It shouldn't be too difficult to fix either; just add a strip of metal the same thickness as the blade but thinner going down from the existing blades, where they'd be covered over by the grips and guards, and then make the grips and guards with an equivalent hollow space in the middle of them. If you wanted to add extra realism, you could separate the pommels from the grips and make them an extra item, and then require the player to hammer on the bit of the tang that sticks out of the bottom of them to fix everything in place and finish the weapon.
