Pula no Bicho (Phone Version)

Graphic: ⭐⭐2/3

The Sprite work was pretty good! The art style definitely embraced its ghoulish atmosphere, which is complimented by the choice of color. If the animation was pushed a little more it could go from good to great. And if the environment art felt more alive it can go from great to awesome!

Game Play: ⭐1/3

It was a simple running jump style game. From what I played there wasn't much to the gameplay besides running jumping and jumping on top of enemies. There might have been more complex things that happen later but I couldn't fully experience it because controls made the game difficult to play.

The on screen buttons we're really small. Making it harder to press the correct button. Causing me too often just jumps or run into enemies.

For the phone version I think it would be better if the character was constantly moving and you just had the time your jumps.

Music: ⭐1/3

The music was okay, it was simply some free music that you can find online.

In the sound effects were sounds ripped from other games.

The overall game was a decent run and jump game with pretty good graphics. The game unfortunately didn't offer anything you unique to the platforming genre. It was unfortunately a difficult game not because of the challenge but because of the controls.

Hey man loved this game. I have a business inquiry I would love to talk to you about. if you see this please email me nifiystudios@gmail.com

First of all! WOW...Love the look and feel! very simple very clean!  Music is on point and the sound reaction are perfect.

PROS

  • VERY CLEAN (Most rhythm base games tend to use lots of colors and crazy vfx which can be distracting making gameplay hard to follow. this games simple use of color is almost perfect.)
  • MUSIC ON POINT (hoping for some music vocals in the future)
  • SIMPLE CONTROLS (easy to hop in and play)
  • SOUND REACTION (Rhythm games aren't just about the music, it's also about how players interact with the music. When reacting to obstacles players shift up, down left and right to the beat of the music. Upon reacting, a satisfying clap sound is played. The clap sound makes the games music feel tangible and not like background noise, Most rhythm base games almost never get that right!)
  • GREAT POTENTIAL (The games simple art style and controls allow for potential licences collaborations like mario or sonic for example)

CONS

DIFFICULTY SPIKE (Tho the gameplay is simple and easy to understand, the levels can be a bit difficult when play for the first time. The game may be design for conditioning over time but first level is pretty difficult.)

The game almost feels complete, With a few small tweaks and a bigger budget this game will and could be the next big thing.
