They are zipped, but you'll need an application to decompress and recombine them back into one file. "The Unarchiver" app is free from the Mac App Store. Drag the two downloaded game files (do not change their names) at the same time onto The Unarchiver and it will unzip and merge them into a single DMG ready to install.

I've had the best luck in Eden Beach, Feasterra and Lavalanch. They only come out at night. You can either keep running away until you get a dark knight, or fight all the battles and build up your resources.
My problem is I can rarely defeat them even knowing their weaknesses as well as having the king plug and ring and the chopping blade. The cursor moves way too fast on the final round and I find it almost impossible to get in a hit. Any advice on making them easier to defeat?

For macOS people: If you don't already have an app to unarchive the new updated files, "The Unarchiver" app is free from the Mac App Store. Drag the two downloaded game files onto The Unarchiver and it will unzip and combine them into a single DMG ready to install.
(2GB installed. Somebody's been working out 😯)
So I was able to start and run the game on my Mac laptop, and it looks promising so far, but I can't seem to figure out the controls. When I go into Options I can fiddle around a bit to figure out how to change settings, but there's no save or back button to go back to the main screen. The only option I can find is to quit and start over. Also can't figure out how to delete characters when asked for a name - can only add characters or spaces. I don't have a mouse I can use, so the on-screen controls guide isn't any help. And is there an option to save at some point?
The giant's jewel mining game seems to be broken, but only some of the time. When there are 4 or more colors in the ring, clicking when the arrow is in the correct color gives me a failure. If it happens once, then it will fail for the rest of the game (and also play the "fail" sound when exiting the game). This only seems to happen half of the times I try the game, no idea what is different to cause the error. I'm on macOS 10.15.7.
I'm also seeing a LOT of typos in the English dialog - too many to list here. It's not a big deal as I can figure out what is meant, but you might want to have a proofreader go through all the text at some point.
Sorry if I'm being dense or missed something, but how much is the monthly Patreon subscription? If you stay subscribed after getting the first release of the game, is it another $12 per month? By the end of a year (if the final release takes that long) that would be almost $150 for a $30 game! I do want to support you guys, but not sure I'm willing to go that far.
Just a suggestion: you might want to consider selling a separate digital "art book" of all the character assets for people who enjoy the artwork but don't have the patience to play a long game (or people who just want a complete collection all in one place). Something like Lifewonders did for Tokyo Afterschool Summoners. Not a huge amount of extra work and might generate a few dollars for you.
