Yep. The Steam version of AWoK has a very simple avatar with a few custom options. See https://store.steampowered.com/app/3238580/A_World_of_Keflings/

Thank you!
Hmm... We haven't got a plan for releasing on Steam or other marketplaces, but we can talk about it.
Honestly, I'm trying to remember what was unique about the X version we released on Xbox 360. "Enhanced graphics", evidently. More levels, in theory, but was that the DLC campaigns, or something else? It's been so many years... In any case, yeah, we could some day release everything that we released for the X version.
Hi Sydney, no problem. If you want, you can email support@ninjabee.com for help with things.
If you've purchased the game on itch.io, you'll have access to download a text file that has a license key in it. (at the top of this page, you should see something like "You own this game" and a download button). You also should have gotten an email with a link to the downloads page for this game. If not, let me know through support@ninjabee.com.
You can grab the name and key from the license key text file and enter them in the game to unlock the full version.
You can get them from our website as well: https://ninjabee.com/games/akingdomforkeflings/ There's a button there that says "Windows DLC". If you click that, you should be given options for dowloading the map packs for Windows.
¡Hola! Se puede cambiar la idioma si está dispuesto a editar un archivo técnico.
En la "fsall" carpeta es un archivo "settings.ini", que se puede editar con qualquier text editor. Agregue esta línea en alguna parte.
language=SP
Guarde el archivo. Reinicie el juego y el texto debe estar en español.
Es posible que haya algún texto que no se traduzca correctamente (razón por la cual esta no es una configuración en los menús), pero debería estar hecho al 99%.
¡Buena suerte!
Hi! If you mean two players on a single computer, that's not a feature in this game. (It was something we added to the sequel, A World of Keflings, which isn't available on Windows yet).
If you mean playing over a LAN with two computers, you can connect using the options under the Multiplayer menu in-game.
Nope, no way to turn buildings. They're designed to look a certain way from a certain angle, and have very boring backsides. :)
You can build walls around things - the scene you see in the background of the main menu is an example of that. Walls connect automatically with each other when you place them next to each other.
Yep, send an email to support@ninjabee.com and I can send you instructions, but the short version is to edit the settings.ini file, remove the semicolon from the start of ";Adapter = 1", and change that number to pick a monitor.
We've got plans for AWoK on Steam, at least, and presumably itch.io, but haven't had time yet to get to that project, despite our best intentions. At some point yes!
The game is usually installed somewhere like C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaBee\AKingdomForKeflings\ . The executable itself is "A Kingdom for Keflings.exe". You can right-click that to create a short cut there and move it, or right-click-drag somewhere else (e.g. desktop) and choose "Create shortcut here".
Ah, interesting... I had not tried the itch.io app. I see - it seems to "install" the game installer (which you then run to actually install the game), but it doesn't know about the DLC packs. The two DLC packs (downloadable through the itch.io website) are separate installers that you need to run. They'll try to install the DLC in the location where your game got installed. And you'll need to have the full game unlocked with the license key, if you haven't already. Sorry for the confusion - the itch.io app does weird stuff in this case. :-/
Reinstalling the demo is free through the "Download demo" option above.
To unlock the demo to the full game:
When you're signed in to your itch.io account, at the top of this page it should see "You own this game". You can click on the "Download" button there to download more files, including the license key that unlocks the full game. There are instructions in those files.
More Info:
You can also check your email for a purchase notification from itch.io, where there's more information about getting access to your purchased games, including a link to:
which is a good place to find downloads for any itch.io games you want to reinstall.
Hmm... Is it the installer (AKingdomForKeflings_Setup) that closes immediately, or the game after it's successfully installed?
If it's the installer, that's confusing and I'm not sure what could cause that...
If it's the installed game, you could try compatibility settings: find A Kingdom for Keflings.exe and right-click on it and choose "Troubleshoot Compatibility". Or, go to "Properties" and then the "Compatibility" tab.
If you're comfortable with (carefully) editing the fsall/settings.ini file, there's a graphics section where you can edit some graphics settings, including:
[GRAPHICS] FullScreen = yes ; Full screen window XScreenRes = 1920 ; Screen width YScreenRes = 1080 ; Screen Height
(When you're using FullScreen, you should use a standard resolution supported by your monitor.)
And you can use this line
Adapter = 1
to pick which monitor to use (starting at 0).
