Alright, this is a great game, been playing for a few days now. I like when feeling like I'm going fast but still not getting hit. I like the satisfying "thunk" of launching a grenade. I like the explosion of the enemies into cactus pieces. IDK if you guys plan on expanding this, but I'm going to list my thoughts. I don't think all of these are super important, but they are things I personally would like changed. 

Enemy swarm: sometimes you spawn in the midst of several enemies. This would not be a huge problem were it not for the fact you can get hit by multiple bullets at once. Adding some form of short damage immunity when you get hit would be nice to prevent instant deaths.

Also, bullet damage sometimes feels random. For instance, with the brown shirt and blue-colored frogs, you can take anywhere from 3-0 damage, which seems to be based on the distance the bullet travels. I don't know if this is intentional, but it really discourages getting up close and taking risks.

Bugs: 

  • Sometimes the cactus pieces will get trapped outside the map. 
  • If you go to the oasis (at least after completing the canyon) you are unable to play the game again unless you close the program.

Sound: It might be nice to hear the guitar chord for every new location, or maybe each section (desert, canyon) could have its own starting sound. Some western background music throughout the stage would also work nicely.

Also, it wasn't obvious to me the first time that I had to choose between ending the run or continuing at the end of Canyon-3. I just thought it was a different flag. I would not have even realized there was more if I didn't decide to play the game again.

Anyway, good entry. I'm glad I noticed it in GMTK's video. I feel like this was inches away from the top 20, love to see if you guys participate next year.

Very inventive concept. I think it would be neat if the toss was actually random or at least somewhat random in a full version of the game, but that may be asking for too much complexity. Otherwise, all I wanted at the end was more questions to answer.

Amazing game, wish I could see which endings I've already gotten more easily, though.

I kinda wish there was a wiki or something that had the details for all of the upgrades and abilities and such

Does the game have an end or is it infinite?

Very cool game, only issue I have is that the upgrades cost a lot of notes so unless it's a good ability it's not usually worth it. I think they could maybe be reduced in price so that they aren't costing 3/4/5 notes. I mostly just hoped to get a level 5 upgrade in the store or I just didn't worry about it.

Is there a way to have every slot have an ability? Not super clear to me, because once I had lvl 5 scatter shot, I didn't want to risk it getting replaced and the though never crossed my mind.
