A massive glow-up from 123 Slaughter Me Street with a fun, if at times somewhat frustrating use of a microphone, Midnight Evil offers a unique "reading horror" premise with adorable little jumpscares.
Gameplay starts at 3:31:20.
I played this as part of the Spooky Station without having played the first game, but I really liked the art style/aesthetic. Very Yume Nikki-esque, especially when it more or less turns into Yume Nikki. The murder mystery subplot was also entertaining and I don't regret my choices. Planning on playing the other games at some point based on how much I enjoyed this one.
Gameplay begins at 56:04.
It's been a while where I played a game that truly made me sick to my stomach like the second half of this game did. It's was honestly distressing, and I mean that as a high compliment. I think it is a huge improvement over the State Park game, and I am looking forward to more!
First game of this stream VOD at 10:25.
When I read that this game was directly inspired by Kitty Horrorshow's Anatomy, I knew I was gonna have to check it out eventually. And I am not disappointed. I really liked the aspect of the environment changing around the player to symbolize both the passing of time as well as documenting where the in-game relationship was at as it grew ever distance. Nice work!
This was one of the games I wanted to try from the start of my Demo Disc video series, and it has not disappointed! I love the noir (heh) atmosphere surrounding the game, and the characters play off each other pretty in their interactions with one another. Worth the wait to play it! Gameplay starts at 8:04.
I was hoping to see more of this game, and was actually disappointed to learn that this is the full game! Not because I thought it was too short, but because I would have loved to see more of it! This might be the most overlooked game in the Demo Disc, featuring some well built up scares and a lot of confusion by the end of it. Gameplay starts at 0:26.
Nope, nothing scary here. Nothing tried to scare me whatsoever. Real talk though, it was a fun game to play through. It was a short and fun game, I like how it starts almost comedic before starting to reveal why it the same body kept showing up. Interesting game, would almost like to see this expanded on!
