8/10
Overall a fantastic start to a story; a beautiful combination of a visually appealing anime art style along vivid writing within this almost dystopian/ fantastical setting creates a memorable experience and leaves you wanting more.
I give it a 8/10 because despite the fantastic writing and visuals, there are quite a few parts that seem to drone on (mainly whenever Miriam is explaining something in regard to Adelle) that leave me asking "what is the point of this?" Its not necessarily a bad thing as it is establishing rules/ lore but the story leans very hard into "Slice of Life" at times and can give a feeling of "please just hurry up and show me the cool stuff again." If you like slice of life anime featuring cute/sexy anime girls you'll love this but to me the slice of life parts heavily drain the tension of the mystery surrounding Adelle/ the arbiters. Having an intense scene going on and then reverting back to a cutsie conversation or situation can be jarring. There are multiple moments of events occurring that left me in a state of hyper focus and excitement to then suddenly be ripped out and back into Miriam's room wanting to go back.
The art is beautiful and the author has clearly mastered the craft of creating some of the most fine anime thighs itch.io has ever seen. There are plenty of cgs for you to enjoy, I found myself removing the text and looking at all the attention to detail the author packed into each cg. The cgs can range from cool, to surprising, to horrifying, to flat out fanservice. Very well done!!!
The writing within the vn is very strong. The author's writing will change appropriately depending on the situation at hand. During tense scenarios the author does a great job at making the reader feel that; not only through clever word choice, but a general vibe. It will be obvious how the author wants you to feel and it comes across in a natural way. The essence of any situation gets translated very well through the writing; this goes for both tense scenarios and also more laid back ones. The writing to me seems somewhat inspired by vn's such as Full Metal Daemon Muramasa or Muv Luv. Author knows how to write and for a first release its very impressive, also must mention the dialogue between characters is full of unique personality and just flat out cute at times.
Music within the VN compliments the scenarios within it very well overall, only nit picks I have are sometimes the music seems a bit too much especially during moments of interpersonal drama (not gonna name exact scenario don't want to spoil). The one song I can't stand is the Damn Miriam one. You get sucked into exciting moments and then get pulled back to Miriam's room along with a relaxing beat to go with it. There are definitely a few good boppers in this vn though. Nice choices in music overall.
Looking forward to the next part, without getting into spoilers the ending will leave you wanting more!! Very nice job to the talented Author/artist/dev!! Looking forward to seeing more! Keep it up!!!!
