Good stuff!! Always nice to see others experiences and what they learned.

I created Floodpunk recently during the One-Bit game jam, which was a ton of fun to create and it got some good responses! I've never submitted a game to Steam before, but given the positive feedback I wanted to try with a cleaned up version of my game with more content added, to extend the time from 10-15 minutes to about 1-2 hours.

Has anyone else done this before, and if so do they have any advice?

Original idea and solid execution. Well done!

I was pleasantly surprised when I ate the dog and changed color! When I realized it just looped I was genuinely sad there weren't more levels. Good submission!

Love the direction! I got through the entire tower but there seemed to be no ending, but I understand the time constraint.

I completely understand the motivation thing. I have a folder on my desktop of games I lost motivation on.

Good game! I really like the mechanic of only being able to attack in the light, very creative!!! There was a small issue with the bats attacking though; sometimes they would get stuck on me and deal damage extremely quickly, killing me almost instantly.

One of my first attempts at making a puzzle game, I primarily created this game to help me understand and work with the json format better. Now, I know too much about json!!

It's about a 5-15 minute puzzle game, with two endings with beautiful hand drawn endings (well, wiggly mouse in aesprite drawn ending frames). Had a lot of fun making this!

All hand drawn tiles and sprites. I'm certainly better at tiles, although the little guy grew on me.

challenging but fun

Not bad! I like the idea a lot, but it does have some bugs. The concept of shooting your own body is creative. If possible, zooming out the camera would help a lot. Nice job, very creative!

Is there any penalty to using Epochs? Once you get your first mutation point you can just refresh epochs over and over for infinite mutations.

How on earth did you do that?? Glad you enjoyed the game though!

Fixed the weird resolution bug! Just had the wrong resolution in the settings :)

Okay, this one got a good laugh out of me. Well done!

Fun game! The jumping was a little finicky, but you more than made up for it with fun levels and great art/sound design. Good job!!!

Thank you for the review! The blurry text was a result of us running out of time...we only worked on weekends, and our artist ran out of time to make a full font for the game, so we had to rely on some crude image scaling to get the text to even be visible!

I had the same issue. I liked the look and feel of it, especially given the short time constraint

a good game all around!

gotta say, i had fun

Fantastic game! I struggled with some of the levels, but overall really impressive for 1 hour!!

Is anyone running this?

Why not? I rated all of the games.

That was some awesome camera work, and the shadows were amazing! My only complaint is that there wasn't more.

Simple and fun! I thought the sprites were good and the gameplay was pretty okay

I found all 3 paintings, woo. I feel like you just needed like, maybe 15 or 20 minutes more. Good job with what you have though!

That's really unfortunate that it didn't work, but what we can see is pretty impressive! Are you considering uploading a fixed version, post-jam?

Glad you gave it another shot! :)

That was brutal.
