Oh no! We're so sorry you ran into this, we'll make note of this and try look into it as soon as we can. In the meantime, you can press Right Shift + Home and it will reset the scene which should hopefully fix the issue for now. Thanks so much for letting us know :)

Hi! Unfortunately, the current version of demo breaks if the ratio isn't 16:9. We're sorry that you can't experience it on your current monitor, but we are looking into a fix for this once the full game comes out. Thanks for notifying us about this!
Great question! This demo has nothing huge or new added to it actually. There is just a ton of bug fixes and small updates based on community feedback! There are a few more lines of flavor text hidden in some places but everything is going to be quite similar to the previous demo :)

Hey Cass! Thanks for reaching out, really sorry you're stuck! Someone has actually mentioned this before so you're not the only one. So, in the keypad, after typing something in it, it should have prompted with "Nothing happens. Try again?" So this might sound super obvious (sorry if it is), but I was just curious if nothing happens even when just typing 'no'.

Hey DK! That's a real bummer you're having this problem and I'm so sorry to hear that. :( So the file that's said to be missing (UnityPlayer.dll) actually comes in the .zip file that Buddy Simulator comes in. So it's odd that it's supposedly missing. I would first re-extract the .zip, then try playing again. Also make sure the file UnityPlayer.dll is in the game's folder. Once again, so sorry that this is happening. If there is anything else I can help with just let me know. I'd feel really bad if you can't play, especially since you donated a dollar (seriously, thank you for that). We'll also make note of this. We're currently trying to fix these types of bugs best we can for the full version. So thanks for letting us know!
Hey SewerPeople! Thanks for reaching out. We've actually had some issues with this before which we're looking into for the final version of the game. For now, the only way to erase the demo data is to go into your system registries. First press Windows+R to open the run screen. Then type 'regedit' into the search bar. After pressing enter you'll see the registry editor. Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Not a Sailor Studios / Buddy Simulator 1984". Then on the right side you should be able to see a registry called "GameSection". Right click it and delete it. That should erase your progress. If you need anything else just let us know. Looking forward to seeing the video, glad you enjoyed it so far :)
We would love to shoot for Mac support, but unfortunately due to some of the game's features, this provided a lot of technical challenges we weren't expecting. This is still something we're strongly pushing towards for the full game, so we'll be sure to keep everyone updated.

Hi there sinlost! Thanks so much for pointing this out. After looking into it, we have just realized it's most likely because the main terminal screen uses the file location where the game is extracted. This may cause an anti-virus program to not trust Buddy Simulator 1984 since the game is reading a file location. The game itself is a bit experimental and does some things that might break a few rules purely for narrative reasons. We promise this project is nothing more than a game, but we can understand why anti-virus software might get nervous. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.
If you are on a mac computer you most likely need to right click the file then click open and after that make sure to hit open on the window that pops up.

Originally, we made this for the Weekly Game Jam. but we actually started too early. Because of this, we don't feel like we'll be allowed to submit anything since we technically started before the Jam began. We might still submit it to see what happens, but due to the surprising amount of recognition we've gotten, we're actually quite happy with leaving the game here!
